Apparently we have an offer to play BYU on 11/28. However, we told them we are waiting on ECU to play on 12/5.

But at this point, it seems to be us vs. AAC best (likey UCF) for the NY6. I'm in favor of putting it on the line against a BYU at the end of the year as a schedule boost.

I'm also expecting us to try to add a game on Oct. 3. With the Rice cancellation, we have three weeks until our next game (at WKU). That's too long a layoff for what might be the C-USA East Championship Game Part 1.

Neither did we...

Hopefully the Marshall of the past 5 seasons is gone and we're back to being the program we were prior to 2015... this is easily our best team since 2014.

After watching App play Charlotte I felt like it was Marshall’s to win. That’s not a slight against Charlotte it just is saw App State as vulnerable. Also that for complement. We waited a long time to play and got blessed with a heck of a Rivalry I Dixie!

You really just hate to see that for Mike Evans. Such a classy kid. It was also so unfortunate that the cameras caught his tears on national television. Man, just one of those things that when you see it, you just hate that.

I did accept the same terms later in the thread though when Goronic made the same offer and I realized Appy's were too chicken to go longer than a week.

My thoughts after watching the game not from my usual position but as a patient at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

1 Defense x3- The defense played the biggest role in this game. Rolling the safeties in and out of the box depending on what the offense was showing was the key to only giving up 96 yards on the ground. The Gilmore INT and the punch out by Drayton were the 2 biggest game changers. Making them one dimensional was key.

2 Offensive Line- The OL done its job to a T. I would like to see how someone graded them out on that game, it would have to be in the 90s. Breaking up holes for Knox and Evans to drive a MACK truck though and allowed no sacks on a pretty aggressive defense.

3 Skill Position Players (WR/RB)-. There were a few drops that should have never happened but the WR played well. Knox with 100 yards at the half was key to keeping the ball out of their hands in the 1st half.

4 Grant Wells- With a much better defense Wells in some cases proved he was a freshman. The deflected Willie Johnson pass and the INT were both freshman mistakes. But over all he done more than manage the game and beat a top 25 team. Still think the kid is gonna be special.

Lines up with what i have seen. Your OL is stout and seems to be the best unit on your offense or just about your entire team. QB needs to calm down a little and stop making those hot headed throws and i get he is freshman so he will probably settle down as the season goes. Overall i think you have a better chance at the title than any one else we have seen so far from the conference.
