You again. It's not about deaths, it's about the myriad long-term health issues (heart scarring, lung damage, loss of hearing, kidney damage, on and on and on).

"Show me one study that says 18-24 year old healthy young adults are at risk."

Have you read ANY news websites or watched ANY TV news stations or read ANY newspapers during the past month? More and more information is coming out weekly about the dangers to young people.

So.Much.Trump.

None proven.

You can't back up your nonsense. So. Much. Drama.

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but we are a country/world that, among other things, didn't have any clue of health effect of things like agent orange, saccharin, lead paint, asbestos, smoking and the likes. To think a virus they know can enlarge heart and damage lungs could create long term health issues is naive.

We do know about the long term effects of concussions and other injuries on football players, yet we "tolerate" them and players still want to play. There are risks in life, and some people are willing to accept a greater level of them.

I cant catch the concussion from someone not wearing a helmet. Not does it matter if I wear one.

And I'm pretty sure advancements, protocols have been made in the area of head protection after science n medicine proved it it was occurring. Also pretty sure some older players would not choose to play had they known effects. Also, the risk of concussion is not the issue. It multiple ones throughout he coarse of the game, over years. Contact is part of the game. Catching covid is not a bi product of the game itself.

And let's be real here. The real reason they are playing is $.

More 18 to 29 year olds died from the flu since 02/01/20 than from COVID. SCIENCE!

Lol, again, you're reading your own chart incorrectly. 100 people aged 18-29 have died of the flu in that time frame, compared to 798 for COVID in the same age bracket. You're referring to pneumonia deaths when you refer to the death number that's higher than COVID. It's not even science, it's READING COMPREHENSION.

Lol, you don't get the fact that COVID is not a large factor, compared to other factors, for the deaths in the 18-29 age bracket, lol.
You didn't even know those figures existed, lol.
.

The recovery rate for COVID is 99.6 %, as an aggregate, spanning all age brackets, 3 to 4 times that of the flu.The deaths are concentrated in the elderly, infirm, and people with pre-existing conditions....lol.

The death and/or hospitalization rate goes down dramatically with age,....lol.

Reply with some lol's for me, please.

You speaking for me?

I never said it was a large factor. I never said I didn't know these figures existed. Nor did I say something opposing to anything you said.

I just said the figured you stated were false, and you were looking at the chart incorrectly. But again, it seems like you have a problem with reading comprehension.

Huge mistake to not play by the BIG 10, politics dominated decision. Will adversely affect brand for some time. ...not as serious about football as we are in the Texas or the South.

It's a bad flu for college kids. Hope a bunch of kids get it and whip it's a$$., build immunity.

People filled with hate have it so easy. They don't need to know or think, they can just feel.

Everything you write is false.

The B1G's decision wasn't simply about "politics." You can't "whip COVID-19's ass" and build immunity. Many people who get it aren't recovering (they are suffering long-term damage) and the antibodies for some people who "recover" only last 2-4 weeks.

This is just one of hundreds of articles on the subject.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/13/health/lo...index.html

Here's another, specifically about B1G athletes.

https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/...yocarditis

Dozens of studies have been pouring in regarding the long-term health damage caused by COVID-19, and one of the B1G's deciding factors was the fact that 1/3 of their athletes who "recovered" from COVID-19 the heart condition myocarditis.

They are reconvening (possibly today) to study more medical information that we've learned during the past few weeks (since their decision).

If you mean that Midwesterners aren't as "serious about football" as a state that produced George Bush and, until recently, allowed alcohol and firearms in a moving vehicle, then, yes, we don't think using college kids as lab monkeys for our entertainment is "serious football."

BTW, have you been seeking to expose yourself to the virus so you can "whip it's ass and build immunity?" Oh, and because you're not a Socialist, once you get it, you won't ask for access to our healthcare facilities, medicines, workers and insurance, correct?

"It's just a bad flu for college kids" - written by a true high school dropout Trump voter.

LOL
:pbjtime:You are "SPOT ON" Well Done!

The television coverage for Saturday G5 football today is crazy. No games on ESPNU or CBS Sports right now. I would assume this is the type of coverage the MAC is trying to secure for the spring. NIU vs Toledo on ABC on a Saturday would be great.

Being the worst conference in FBS, the MAC will maintain its lock on ESPN3.
