RE: 2020 NFL Thread
I am fascinated by a few things this year:

Cam in NE.

TB in TB.

Chiefs on the repeat train.

Ravens?

Panthers make the right moves?

Redskins do the right thing? / Ron Rivera cancer scare and its outcomes.

Raiders in Vegas...

Cleveland lost their 2nd round draft pick Grant Delpit to an Achilles tear yesterday. Out for the whole season.

Might as well start the misery early in Cleveland this year.

Hard to believe the season kicks off tomorrow night! Here's hoping it goes well. I've been watching Hard Knocks on HBO and it's been interesting seeing their training camp this year. Seemed like a lot of the time was spent with no helmets and pads doing walkthroughs. Probably gonna be a lot of injuries the first couple weeks.

I think the Rams may have an advantage, as they're used to having their starters never playing in the preseason....

pretty much no difference at all this year vs past years in quality of play on opening day. RIP preseason football.

I think there are some differences but they are negligible. If the extra postseason rounds can make up the financial delta then I agree the preseason is over.

If true, tough for the borderline players which is who benefited from the preseason the most

Yeah, you've got to wonder if you end up missing out on seeing some rookies shine in preseason games that could later really help the team.

From watching Hard Knocks, the staff on the Chargers said they started to notice undrafted free agent Austin Ekeler after he ripped off a few big plays in preseason.

I think they will end up with Two Preseason games - one home, one away in the future.

I think expanded practice squads will morph into the new wave to discover low/undrafted talent.

Lamar Jackson with less than 100 yards passing.

Sorry it's Mahomes league, period.

Jackson's passing acumen seems to have plateaued. He needs a legit passing QB coach to help him develop the touch that Josh Allen has discovered.

The Browns are 3-1 for the first time since 2001. A lot of football to play but things are coming together under first year coach Stefanski. I just hope the knee injury to Nick Chubb is not a season ender. He did walk off [limp] on his own power though.
