After losing Malcolm Perry, this season for Navy is going to be worse than the year after Keenan Reynolds finished. They really do not have a capable QB to run the option. Navy's D has always counted on the offense being on the field a long time.

It didn't help that Navy had spent the entire fall without contact. Clearly Army didn't have such restrictions

I was not on the BYU bandwagon. I wanted to play Army or Navy.

Being that we gave up 4.8 yds a carry against UCA, I don't think playing Army or Navy would have been a good match either.

After watching the UCA game a few times, LB seems to be our weak link on D. The Return season we had Shaq Jones and Tevin Crews at LB. The championship season it was Kris Moll and Fitz Mofor. Mofor gets moved to the edge before last season and I don't think we've been as good there since. Disappointed that Will Conner and Jalen Rayam haven't made an impact yet, even more so for Thomas Johnston.

Army puts up numbers against nearly everyone rushing. Every game and every situation is different.

Thomas Johnston was in shorts on the sideline for the UCA game.

That surprises me, AB. If the option was Clemson or an option team I would pick Clemson. It’s always been said that the wishbone/wing-T option offense is the great equalizer.

UTSA played BYU close, losing 27-20. If you remember, Rashad Wisdom got kicked out of our game for targeting and had to miss the first half of the BYU game as a result. He came in the second half and played great for about 10 plays before getting kicked out again for targeting.

At the end of the game, UTSA tried to block a BYU punt to get field position for their last gasp possession only to again get called for roughing the kicker. Dejavu all over again.

Go 7-6, losing your bowl game. Then beat a poor Navy team, a down Troy, and our little ***** LT, get ranked #15. I wish we would get that kind of credit for beating those same level teams.

UTSA is improving but BYU is way over-rated. Miami would tear the fighting polygamists a new one.

Or expects "good" teams to have beaten some other good teams to get ranked #15. Would UAB be ranked at all if we had beat Navy, Troy, and LT in our first three games? Maybe be a few votes, at best.

Competition matters. BYU hasn't played or beaten a good team. UTSA hasn't beaten a good team either but they have beat the spread the last two weeks. That's a sign of progress and what I would like to see UAB start doing again regularly (1-3 so far).

If we played BYU at home, they would go down IMO. Quite a few G5's that would beat them.

Watson Brown teams were known to beat the spread. I would rather win.
