Sun Belt on tv
Viewership numbers for our week 1 games were exceptional. Obviously a lot of reasons why but that doesn’t matter, these numbers are awesome.

http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/sk...-2020.html

Texas State vs SMU did 1.228m viewers, winning the day.
Arkansas State-Memphis did 1,034,000 viewers.

Both were losses but both competitive. Well done Belt Bro’s.

RE: Sun Belt on tv
Just think. 1.2 million people tuned in to watch a Texas State infomercial and stared at Texas State's exceptional stadium and campus for 3 hours. I know it's an atypical season, but that's the exposure all of our schools invest for. That's why we play FBS ball.

I'm so thankful to be here in the Sun Belt instead of stuck in the FCS somewhere pretending that being a big fish in a small pond is somehow more beneficial. Makes me wonder how the JMU fans are feeling right now. For forever, they've been touting the benefits of playing in national championships over low tier bowl games. Well now, we are outdrawing their national championship viewership during the regular season while they sit at home with an empty stadium watching through the glass knowing it could have been them.

And if CUSA had a better TV package our game with Southern Miss would have done much better. A game on CBSSN at 8:00 PM CST was not conducive to great numbers. If it had been the only FBS vs FBS game on Thursday on an ESPN channel it’d probably have done pretty good.

And TXST didn't look like butt on TV. Stayed in the game and were fun to watch. Haven't had that in a while as a fan.

Totally agree. I think the channel was a bigger deal than the time, but at least those that looked for the game should have been able to find it.

I've wondered for years what sort of sports fan watched the NBA. I quit watching when the Celtics stopped dominating. IMO, the league went to hedoublehockeystix in a handbasket.

To each their own. I enjoy it. I'll never understand why people comment about things they claim they dont care about.
