Surprised they wouldn't put Troy/ULM on television instead of relegating it to Al Gore's invention.

Be sure to tag MJS, HiddenDragon and all the other doomsayers when the ratings come out. I’m sure they’ll be watching too. Like I said in March/April:

Ummm ... small inventory of games has 100 percent to do with all of this.

Let’s just hope Texas State and Arkansas State dont get hammered on ESPN in front of a national audience now. Big statement games for the SBC here.

Small inventory didn't help CUSA get any of their three Saturday games on linear TV

StAte don't f this up. What a statement that would make for the conference if y'all won 04-rock

No pressure StAte... Memphis returns a lot of players, especially at key positions. That'll be a tough one to win.

If the Red Wolves win though, that will say a lot about how good Ark State is gonna be this year.

The differences between the TV contracts are going to be shown in all its glory this year if the best they can do in a week when roughly 10 games are being played is Stadium

Be sure to tag MJS, HiddenDragon and all the other doomsayers when the ratings come out. I’m sure they’ll be watching too. Like I said in March/April:

Just. Play. Football.

Unlike a lot of others, MJS has just taken a realistic outlook on this virus and has been amazed and shocked, as I have, of how bungled our response to it has been. As for ratings, sure us starved for sports fans will watch, and will hope things go well. But, remember the thing about ratings- Romans loved watching people die in their coliseum, and that would have been considered to have great ratings!

Hell, we could do that now and it would still get great ratings...

Of the Sun Belt games being played, that is the only one featuring two under .500 teams last season, and ESPN Plus still needs inventory.

Side note, Go ahead and smile one last loving time at your SBC Schedule before it gets ripped to shreds and looks very different. A bunch of games are about to be moved. I don't know if every single team will be effected, but the large majority will.

To answer some questions: Yes there will still be ESPN3/ESPN Plus games. While it is obvious that networks need inventory all over place, ESPN simply put has to have games on those networks in order to be able to sell subscriptions. Not to mention that while League AD's are more open this year to moving games to midweek with most schools banning tailgating as it is and limited crowds, they will want to keep some games on Saturday to make Campus traffic easier.

With no MAC, Big Ten, or PAC-12 games, I don't see how any games should be played on ESPN 3.

ESPN has to sell subscriptions to that platform. If they took every game off that platform, no one would subscribe.

That has nothing to do with it ... they wouldn't sacrifice linear games for E+, anyways that game is on E3. It has everything to do with the fact that ULM hasn't practiced in a week.

As of now no one in the Sun Belt has an open date in November, so no way to have Tuesday and Wednesday games without some major shuffling of conference games.

Nope, nope, nope. Games on linear are far more important than on E+. The minimal subscriptions they would get for a SBC game don't come near the implications of ad money sold on TV. There is a reason why Marshall-EKU is on ESPN next week instead of E+/3.
