You really think they'd travel that well? I've been to a few tarleton games and they weren't that well attended. I really only started following us since we joined the FBS but I dont really remember any in state fcs school bringing much of a crowd here except for HBCUs.

Well now Eastern New Mexico has cancelled/postpones fall sports so there goes another game. We have already lost Bethune-Cookman so things aren’t looking good. Western NM has also cancelled their football, both schools under pressure from the Governor. My guess is NM and NMS aren’t far behind them.

UNM and NMSU already followed governor’s request like a month ago.

Our former conference, the LSC, has postponed all fall sports to the spring except for Cross Country. So now we are down five games, the four D2 teams and BC.

Makes sense at this point. We were down to 4-5 games with nobody looking to make a deal. As long as we get our (6) D1 games in the Spring, we're good.

No matter what happens in football and all of our other sports, this still needs to count as our first probationary year.

It will, the probation period is in years, not games played. Although, Tarleton State will not get a do over with its basketball schedule. The first year is considered a D2 to D1 transition by the NCAA with regards to scheduling. In year two, Tarleton State must adhere strictly to D1 scheduling rules.

This is a tough one. Went from being one of the best DB's in the country (awards finalist) in 2018 to a season ending injury early at SFA last year. I wish him the best and hope he gets back to the player he once was.

After seeing All-American talent like Zimari Manning, Prince Robinson, Ben Holmes and others from the last two seasons not get real NFL shots, looks like Hafford wants to play at the FBS level to give himself a better chance. He won’t last long in the portal.

The timing seems odd to me if this is the reason for the transfer. If he was transferring to go FBS, why not enter the portal much sooner? Instead he enters the portal the day after we postpone the football season to the spring and most teams have reported to school. Just seems weird to me.

He graduates in December, no Fall ball, I'd say his timing is perfect.
