Well...
October 15, 2015 FAU 31 FIU 17
October 1, 2016 FAU 31 FIU 33
November 18, 2017 FAU 52 FIU 24
November 3, 2018 FAU 49 FIU 14
November 9, 2019 FAU 37 FIU 7
I mean its almost 2-3 over the last 5 years.
my bad, that brain fart is on me, and I will happily own it.
So let me try that again, 4-6 past 10 years. I think we beat y'all this year, because of Willy more than anything else.
You say that every year...we will beat you because you are FIU. 1,401 days since the last time FIU beat FAU in the Shula Bowl.
Yeah, I say that every year, but my astrologist grand-aunt confirmed it this year.
As Mark Twain famously said, "The report of "OUR"<my> death was an exaggeration"
We have a 3rd year staring QB, loaded at RB and our defense is going to be a brick wall. We might be above average this year.

Rice fans understand how enthusiasm wanes when the program is in the dumpster. I’m hoping ODU and UTSA have made good hires and their fans come back. Dimel was always a head-scratcher for UTEP, but it seems that Diana Natalicio had other priorities than athletics at the end of her Presidency. The Miners can right the ship with the next hire.
This year I’m worried about Middle Tennessee. They may have held onto Stockstill a year too long.

You might be right...but as of August 1, 2020 it has been 1,400 days since FIU has beaten FAU last. 13-5 (including the game you cheated and the win was vacated).
2 -3 over the last 5 years, not ideal but work in progress.
Good try, squeaked out one win. Another disappointing underachieving year last year and I predict another in 2020. Not trying to be a jerk but you can’t post an incorrect record and not get called out.
Actually I think you were trying to be one and nailed it.

Cautiously optimistic about the season. Less optimistic that it will actually get played though. If it does I don’t think we’ll go 0 for again but it’s a fairly tough schedule. New staff has us moving in the right direction but it takes time. Not too concerned with Joes predictions either way.

Even if this were a normal season, it's always a crapshoot to see how players react to the new coach. Maybe he gets them better right away, maybe it takes until he gets his recruits in (he seems like a very capable coach, so I'm hopeful that it won't be two-three years of poor play followed by another coach).
Factor in COVID and how it affects practices and schedules and honestly, it's a total mystery. I watched some of the NBA's first bubble games and it seemed like everything was either super close or laughable. Presuming there's a season, we might see some really odd results that wouldn't happen in any other year.
That said, I don't see ODU in a bowl (even if I didn't think they were mostly going to get canned anyway).

There was fair number of MT fans that thought that after the 2010 season and every season since.
I have my doubts about the season being much better than last season, but it appears the wuhan flu has caused us to no longer have the two games with ACC opponents Duke and Vatech, so realistically we will have two less losses. MT had a crazy amount of injuries throughout 2019, so we have a lot of players that gained game experience plus the return of players who missed time from the injuries. I guess that's why Phil Steele thinks MT is likely to finish eiither #2 or #1 in the east if 2020 gets played.

RE: 2020 Schedule Breakdowns: #13?
It's hard to revive a program with that many bad recruiting classes in a row. We know that well at North Texas under former coaches. It impacts your depth for years after you get your first good crop of players. UTEP and ODU may be here awhile at the bottom. ODU is probably one good coach away from beginning their recovery though. Maybe this hire is it. UTEP's problems go beyond coaching. Getting highly rated kids to go to El Paso is no easy task.

I was surprised the data predicted a down season for Charlotte in 2020. Going into this, I actually thought the Clt was going to build on last season's success. But, before their 2020 class the recruiting had been really bad. Healy had a great first season, but the eastern division is very strong in 2020. Charlotte probably won't be able to surprise teams, and their lack of depth is a concern. While Charlotte has brought in some player to fill holes, they probably don't have enough to compete with the more talented programs in C-USA East.

I have already admitted my complete debacle with predicting UNT to finish 11-1 last season. No one bats 1.000. But, I did reworked my variables and have a new formula this season. Hopefully, those anomalies will be prevented going forward. But, even my old formula was very accurate for predicting the bottom half of the conference. And, I don't believe that will change in the new formula.
Having stated that, while my prediction for Charlotte was not 100% accurate, it was better than most believed possible. Many on this board challenged the 5 wins I predicted for Charlotte in 2019. Last season I accurately predicted 10 of Charlotte's 12 games, for an 83% overall accuracy. I think that is good. In fact, my 2019 predictions for Charlotte were as accurate or better than many of the major predictions.

We’ve recruited crappy since 2011 but still won 7 games last season. We have TWICE as many three stars as we’ve ever had. We have grad guys coming back. This is the most experience and most depth that we’ve ever had. We are set a qb which is more than you can say for at least five schools you are going to put ahead of Charlotte.
but we are going to lose three more conference games than last year? Ok.
