Also said concrete for the lower bowl is 45% poured and "still on schedule to open by October 2021". Hopefully they can close that one month gap to open in time for the first game. It would be weird to switch stadiums during the season.

Someone on the BOT with connections, getting the additional seating added, in hopes we can't fill it. Then, they'll only shoot photos and video in that direction, making it look like no one is there. 05-stirthepot
True, nobody will ever sit there because it is both in the sun and not along the sideline. Bring in the tarps...

Very true. I think that's the visitor's endzone, correct? At least for half the game.

RE: Stadiums first big concrete pour is happening now
We played someone last year who had a grass seating area in one of their endzones. WKU, maybe? I thought it was a cool idea but it wasn’t close to full as even their seats were half empty. Given the choice, though, I’m glad we’ll have seats there since we already have the SRO deck in the south endzone.

Can’t wait to have a sellout right outside their doors. Would love for a Thursday night game and they have to leave early because of the crowd.

Decided to give you guys some publicity on secrant. Comments are all pretty positive including people stating they would like to see more week night games so they can attend.

Not exactly all positive, especially from the LSU clown and the person from Huntsville. But what would you expect from an SEC site.

I gotcha. But I think the B-12 is on the path to becoming a G6 conference and the P4 will consolidate power and move on. Once OU & Texas go PAC in a few years and the B1G goes to 14, what’s left to justify keeping the B-12 remaining among the power conferences in the next contract negotiations? They will raid the MWC and AAC, of course, but it’s just shuffling chairs on the Titanic at that point.

RE: Stadiums first big concrete pour is happening now
With what the B10 and P12 pulled in the last week there is a huge chasm in the P5 it is already becoming the P3+2. The SEC made it clear they are done cooperating with those two that chose to violate the agreement of working together and blindsided them. The ACC and B12 have seemingly chosen to ride the SEC's coattails and try not to get left behind as the SEC moves forward doing what the SEC wants.

There were several Big 12 references on that post. Wonder a bit about the guy that stated he knew for a fact that UAB had made a pitch to the Big 12. Maybe that was back when the rumor was floated that they were adding 2 teams. UAB and Memphis would open up a fertile recruiting area and population that watches a lot of college football. Who knows? Maybe some day.

The press box has started to rise up. The first vertical steel beams are being placed today.

I have never been on the P-4 bandwagon but I think that ship has sailed. If you think OU and Texas will go to the sinking ship that is the PAC 12 in this lifetime then I have some real estate off Lake Martin that you can have for free. I'm sure those two schools aren't interested in saving another conference. The struggle is real in the PAC-12 and I wouldn't be surprised if the Big 12 is able to snag two teams from them instead of vice versa. At that point, the PAC 12 would just give in and invite Boise and BYU. And the B1G is already at 14 teams so not sure what you meant by that comment.
