Can Sun Belt schools afford to play football?
Looking like the P5 conferences will only play conference games (if they play at all). So ASU, for example, loses the 1.8 million dollars Michigan was going to pay them (granted Michigan may have to play ASU some of that money for cancelling the game). There is little doubt Sun Belt schools will have no fans or attendance limitations. So income from home games will be drastically reduced. The costs of putting on home games and traveling to road conference games will, for the most part, be close to the same. So financially speaking will playing the games be more costly than just cancelling the season? Of course, if the season is cancelled there is no argument to get some compensation from P5 schools (ex. Michigan) who cancel games.

Excellent points and questions! We should know a lot more by August 1.
