Good question. Anybody know?

His twitter says NIU 22. So 2 more years is my guess.

So we went from losing Jiya Wright, Anthony Thompson, Mariano Valenti and Rodney Hall ...to getting Andrew Haidet, Ross Bowers, Dustin Fletcher, and this guy

I love what Hammock is doing! The dudes we lost are outgunned by these guys!!! Let's see if we can put it together on the field.

I love your recap post. Even more impressive when you add in 2021 verbal Ethan Hampton.

Now we need that success along Oline.

We got some big boys this year from Wisconsin. Hopefully they can molded into the monsters we know they are.

Tyler Pitcel
Evan Buss
Anthony Vacula
John Champe

And these two giants the year before...

Believe it’s two years left. He redshirted in 2017, was on the bench in 2018 and then JUCO last year.

That crazy pirate Mike Leach knows throwers. Kid can toss it and has played with and against big time talent. Cannot move, looks accurate with a sneaky fast ball. Looks like a solid addition. Need bodies at that position.

I saw somewhere that he’s the #2 rated Juco Pro-Style QB this year.

I think this is a safety net for this year and then the starter next year. I don't have any type of inside info, but if he takes one more hard hit to the head like last season, I could see him being done for the year. Just my opinion though.

That's unfortunate. Bowers has a nice arm and I like his pocket awareness.

Pretty incredible how Hammock has come in and is recruiting and grabbing these transfers. I'm sure he was involved in recruiting in previous jobs, but as a first time head coach I'm amazed as what he has done.

Looks like last year Neville had 18tds, 12 ints and 2600 passing yards in 10 games.

With covid around, I'm encouraged that we have so many capable qbs with at least some experience compared to the group that departed.

Since Ham came on

We lost...
Marcus Childers - Mac Freshman of the year, MAC Champ winner
Anthony Thompson - Career backup
Jiya Wright - Career backup
Rodney Hall - Lamar Jackson disciple
Mariano Valenti - didn't start in HS

And gained...
Ross Bowers - former PAC 12 started and gymnist
Connor Neville - former 4 star PAC 12 recruit
Andrew Haidet - started in HS at least
Dustin Fletcher - a more polished Rodney Hall

Which group are you taking?

Time will tell but it sure seems like a serious upgrade at this position.

My point exactly! (Plus the one leaving aren't finding strong alternatives.)

The offense has been struggling last couple years. At least we have a chance with this QB room.

I'm taking Hammock's group all day and twice on Saturdays; or Tuesdays in November. None of the guys in the first group really were QBs, always seemed like athletes that threw the ball. Childers for one half of one game does not count.

Bowers and Neville are true top talent QBs. Haidet and Fletcher are both quality prototypical style QB's. Which seems to be what Hammock wants with a more pro/under center gameplan.
