Vegas Insider AAC expected wins
Vegas Insider AAC expected wins
UC F 10.5 (Tough games NC, UC, Memphis)
Memphis 10 (Tough games Purdue?, UC, UCF)
UC 8.5 (Tough games Nebraska, UCF, Memphis)
Navy 7
SMU 7
Tulane 6
UH 5.5
Temple 5.5
USF 4.5
Tulsa 4.5
ECU 3.5
That totals 72.5 or an average of 6.6 so they expect AAC vs OOC to be 2.6 wins vs 1.4 loses.
Bet the over for UC. Assume a loss at Nebraska, beat Memphis @ Nip, lose at UCF, and one upset that worst case is 9-3 and you win.
Take the under on UCF. Assume NC wins, split with UC and Memphis. 10-2 and you win.
If there is a season.

Unless something goes horribly wrong, I don't see how UC could NOT win 9 games... minimum.

Is this regular season only? Or total after bowl/conference championship games? I don't know much about sports betting, although I'd love to drop some money on UC.

Regular season of 12 games.
Thanks. Yeah, I think anything less than 9-3 would be an abject failure given the roster we are returning. 10-2 and an appearance in the conference championship game is my baseline for expectations in 2020. I'm glad that the media and Vegas are doubting our team though. Keeps the guys motivated and also keeps the target off their backs. UCF and Memphis will be under more pressure this year than Cincinnati.

We have been winning consistently somehow. But the ball bounces the wrong way a few times and we would have lost a lot more. UCF last year comes to mind. Could be 7-8 wins would not surprise me. Obviously would be a disappointment. This defense should be special. But have we improved at all on the other side of the ball???

An improved O-Line usually helps out all aspects of the offense and we should be much improved on the O-Line whether you consider experience, additions, or depth.

Bolded, I'm bullish on this year's team but I think winning 9 or more games will require improved offensive production, which will remain a question mark until this team hits the field in September.
To those who are suggesting an improved offensive line will make all the difference, I hope that is the case. What we saw against BC in the bowl was demonstrably better than some of the erratic O line play we saw all season. Was BC's defense that much worse than an ECU or Tulsa where UC struggled throughout those contests? I can' decide if that was the case or BC simply threw in the towel early in Birmingham.

I assume all bets will be refunded and start over based on new schedule.
