What? Purplehazed is actually posting something other than the same ole dribble about how incompetent our administration is. The apocalypse is upon us people. Run for your lives.

Mensah, in particular, is a HUGE get! Hazed is only acknowledging that. That's a good thing.

If I see it, I say it.

My agenda to bash the admin is much smaller than your agenda to support the admin through any situation.

Fine, I'll take the shade. You may have to look hard to find the post but I have thanked the admin is several cases.

I don't attack individuals, I never attack the college athletes and I don't go after posters from othet schools.

Yes, I've been angry about past conference decisions. I thought the decisions where more about unwillingness to leave the caa than travel. I may have been wrong.

I am willing to call a time out until we find out if JMU is part of the Belt-CUSA travel solution.

Seems to me like pro admin posters should have to admit that JMU's admin has been less than transparent boardering on untruthful if JMU sits this next conference change out.

97, the new voice of reason on this board has said (s)he would have to agree.

Makes sense. That's his hometown. Good luck to him the rest of his career. Though not highly recruited, I liked the kid.

Justyn Mutt from Delaware (one of their better players) just entered the portal. He only played one year with Delaware and is a grad transfer with 2 years of eligible so a bit of a unicorn for a high major or a higher mid major.

“ Interesting. JMU asks a DMV kid to leave the school but want to recruit from the DMV.”

Odd, just because he didn’t work out personally they’re supposed to quit recruiting that area? Odder yet was next to her tweeting out a Gofundme to fix her car and got all $5000 she was asking for, almost all from an anonymous donor, so there are some kind souls out there after all.

I am fairly sure the JMU coaches are doing all they can to find a place for this young man but perhaps no one wants him because of his injuries.

It appears that his mom can’t afford to pay his education. I heard JMU offered Flowers a scholarship but he had to allow JMU to categorize him as medically unable to play; otherwise, he would have to remain on athletic scholarship.

I think his best chance would be Juco so no one has to wait for him to sit out or would he get a waiver? He’s already used a redshirt and I believe that he is a very good student. If he’s not able to reliably play physically he should just take the scholarship and get a degree from JMU. Once the bad feelings wear off he and his family have to recognize that he’s had two years of an athletic scholarship at JMU and hasn’t really been able to play on the court. You can’t expect a new coach or even the existing coach had Rowe stayed on to give a kid 4-5 years of an athletic scholarship for someone who isn’t able to contribute on the court whether it be for physical injury related reasons or skill reasons.

But it sounds like momma is saying that she expects JMU to honor her son’s athletic scholarship. This is a no win situation for JMU but I don’t know how they can handle it any better.

Also seems they’re trying to muddy the JMU name in the DMV recruiting circles. In recruiting you’re told to pick a school for the school and not the coach as things could change quickly. Scholarships are also renewed annually and are not a 4 or 5 year guarantee; when the coach is ousted and you haven’t made an impact in a couple years it’s time to look for a fresh start. With basketball the kids bounce around so fast it should be easy to latch on elsewhere.

It won’t have an impact- JMU has multiple coaches on their new staff with ties and relationships in the DMV. One kid who was injury prone being pushed out is not going to impact our recruiting at all. Just comes off as sour grapes and hurts Flowers chances of landing somewhere else.

It's a weak argument at best... coming from the mother of an athlete (56 followers BTW). It's not like this is coming from the coach in the DMV area.
It's an angry momma who probably only knows the story her son tells her. Not a fan of how she chose to deal with situation, but that's her choice.

Looks like he started the past two games for Ohio after being cleared right before the start of the season. Vs weak competition his box score shows him contributing good numbers, but the season is young.

A quick search the other day I did not see if he was granted a waiver to play this season like Dwight was able to obtain.

He did not feature in the the Mocs first game vs LANDER

I looked up Banks the other day and I believe he's sitting out this season.
