Well nobody has accused Mensa of being the brightest fork in the box of crayons.

He showed his level of intelligence with what he called the flag.

So the ncaa, sec, cusa are still ok with regular season events in ms, right? The flag is ok most of the time then but for a few days a year it's bad?

Mississippi isn't legally obligated to change its flag, and the SEC isn't obligated to put tournaments there if they don't like it.

Why doesn't the NCAA part company with Mississippi State University and/or, ahem Ole Miss.

And why not part ways with the SEC until they boot out Ole Miss and MSU?

If the citizens of Mississippi did not want the stars & bars on the flag, then why is it there? Obviously, the majority of people feel like it represents them, even if it symbolizes hate to the black citizens of the state.

I fail to see what it matters. I’ve consistently said the flag which garnered 60% of the referendum vote accurately represents the state. Why is that a problem?

Cause Marc you keep making snide ass comments about the people there and the flag. If you don’t live there don’t worry about it. So have you figured out what’s the stars and bars yet? I’m gonna learn you something.

I was obviously wrong in referring to the confederate battle flag as the stars and bars... that being said, I was not wrong in claiming the majority of the people in the state want this racist symbol to represent the state.

And so frequently I hear modern day republicans claim to be the party of Lincoln... the party that freed the slaves, yet it’s modern day republicans who cling to these symbols of hate and intolerance. It’s modern day Republicans who speak of the romance of the “Lost Cause”. There is no reason to hang onto to this icon of hate, other to flip the bird the 40% of the population it is meant to offend.
