Good Luck to him! I've been hoping he'd end up on staff. One of my all time favorites.

This would be amazing, but I would also like to see a bigger pull recruiting-wise at the same time.

LOVE AA, what's he been doing for the last decade... other than being a D league player for a couple of years what are his qualifications? does he have contacts to recruit?

He has been coaching his high school alma mater for the past three years. They won the Massachusetts Div 2 championship in 2019 and were crowned co-champions in 2020. The championship game was canceled due to a virus going around.

Tone is one of a very few men to have played in ONE nba game.

But he could give toughness lessons to Chuck Norris.

Love Antoine...

But if he doesn't have a 5* player in tow he needs to work his way up to that spot.

If I was going to get a former player to be an assistant coach from that era it would be Preston Laird

The only recruit I found for 2020 is a 5’7” PG ranked 43rd overall in Massachusetts. He has committed to Franklin Pierce University of D2. I’m thinking he’s not the attraction.

Solid point. And Trey Draper makes sense.

I love AA the player. I simply don't know enough about him as a coach.

Neither do I. But I know Penny is always thinking ahead.

I would take AA. All time favorite tiger. Can remember those 2 free throws he made in front of 30,000 A and M fans with the game on the line like it was yesterday.

.

I always liked this play by AA to keep the 44 game streak alive to beat Tulsa.

There's only 4.5 seconds on the clock & he takes the pass on the move & drives & shoots over Jerome Jordan Tulsa's 7-footer to steal the game.

Over 100 wins with Antonio Anderson as a Memphis Tiger.

video quality couldn't have been that rubbish 12 years ago. Looks like it's straight from the 90's

Fun fact:the name of that play was “winner”.

Id like to see a recruiter in that role and Anderson start as a DBO. But hey, good for him.

Penny is interviewing candidates with various backgrounds. Don't assume he is interviewing just for the recruiting position. People could move around in roles.

Penny is also looking for "now" and "future'

He will do zoom interviews and get it down to 5 then go from there.
