Football attendance plan

4) Not sure about press box, coaching boxes, club area, suites - if they fall under guidelines of capacity - the lean is now they most likely do not - more to come
5) Concern with visiting teams - who actually makes the determination for them - ex: is there a different percentage of capacity for every stadium and every state and is the visiting team control determined by local or the local where they came from.

A few moving pieces which I am sure will be knocked out soon

Thanks, good info. I’m Stadium Club, and I’m wondering how they are going to assign seats in a place that is annually 100% sold out.

In those areas like Stadium Club, Suites, Press Box and other similar areas once they designate if its different from the crowd in the stadium there is a chance these could be at 100%, although that maybe too much to expect but you never know. How is the stadium club I was thinking about picking up a few of those tickets.

Football attendance plan
I enjoy it... It’s like a cross between the privacy of a suite and the excitement of being in the action. They have a nice buffet and unlimited drinks all included. Not nearly as pricey as the suites, so attainable for a schmo like me.

I’ve been trying to add a seat for a couple of years (or at least get my three seats together), but they are perpetually sold out... So we’ve been stuck sitting apart for well attended games.

Football attendance plan
So... This means that tickets will be scarce. Do you think that a bunch of people who wouldn’t otherwise will rush to buy season tickets now, or will they just not go to the games?

We have a bunch of people in our group that just buy single game tickets or scalp (and yes... I always encourage them to buy season tickets). I sent them this, and most are planning to buy season tickets now.

Maybe this can be considered a trial run of a smaller on-campus stadium. Available seats are limited, so people might pick them up just because of that.

RE: Football attendance plan
The highest number of seats that will be allowed to be sold will most likely be 12,000 to possibly 15,000, most likely just above 10,000

We have more season ticket holders than this.

1) 50% capacity at the highest then the six feet distance
2) Layer on six feet between each group, group of season ticket holders that will have a cap. Tops 15,000K most likely 10K to 12K

You’ve said this before.

Is it half or 15k? There’s a large difference between the two.

Rules like that are applied to multiple spaces, not just the Liberty Bowl. So the correct answer is: "It depends". There is a maximum capacity of 50%, but IN ADDITION each place needs to maintain 6' between family groups. So more spread out stadiums can get closer to 50% than the ones where the people are all crammed in.

Wonder why this hasn't been enforced with the mass protests?

You start with full capacity which after the last changing of the chair backs brought us to I think 58,800, so lets call it 60,000.
Then you do half of that a 30,000

So - 30,000 then you have to layer in 6 feet between groups - by the way it was going to be 6 feet between people and the number was 1000 to 800 people tops. They had to get health department to agree that "groups" or "couples and families" are together now and can be together now - but not large groups of season ticket buyers together than buy to be together.

Once you take 30,000 then add 6 feet distancing in that bowl, at best it seems they think 15,000, most likely 12,000 with worst case 10,000. It's still an ongoing conversation.

We are afforded the constitutional right to do so, for one.

Constitution has very little to offer on college athletics, not to mention state-sponsored events like UofM athletics.

I expect this to get interesting before its all said and done. Hopefully not bad but its hard to believe there will not be some upset people and understandable. Interesting times with the virus and the unknown

Oh BTW, look for you to sign a waiver prior to ever entering the stadium that removes liability

Considering the 6 feet separation would involve spacing out at least 3 rows and 3 seats it doesn't seem likely that we could get to 15k, but the 'family' groupings will help some. It will be a painstaking process to lay it all out for sure.

Actually the right of assembly is not specifically applied to protests versus support ( as expressed by a FB game attendance). Doesn't matter what we, individually, would think most important.
