Relatively speaking, Smu seems low and UCF seems high. I would take the field against Ucf in an even bet.

There's a reason Vegas is still in business. We're winning the conference and anyone with some common sense knows this
What an ignorant boast. You are right about Vegas, but you have no idea how it works. Half of the people believe that UCF wins the league the other half of the people do not. Vegas makes money on the juice. I guess half of the people do not have common sense.

It was a joke, relax old man

On a serious note, I think the odds are spot on. We lost all 3 of our games last year by a combined 7 points, and all were on the road. On top of that we had a true freshman QB. The easiest road to the championship is ours considering all of our hard games are at home. And once there, Memphis won't beat us because well... They never do

"Garbage in, garbage out." They fed garbage into the computers, so of course the computer spits out Boise St. yet again.

Boise State always comes out as the top G5 in the preseason polls and ratings, and is almost always one of the 1 or 2 G5 teams in the preseason top 25. The whole system is corrupted and completely unreliable.

Unless my Owls surpass expectations, I'm rooting for the military academies this year. Go Middies! Go Falcons! WTH, go Black Knights!

Boise’s championship appearances should be at a 100% considering they receive way more money from the TV deal than any other school in the MWC. A “12-1” team shouldn’t be losing 38-7 to a mediocre Washington team. I’m glad the committee notices that much at least. Boise is a middle of the pack team in the AAC, which is why they likely wanted to stay and be a big fish in a small pond

We didn’t play a single bowl-eligible team at home last year, every such game was on the road. That makes a huge difference. All it takes is one look at the AAC 2019 season.

I don’t think FIU belonged on that list

Well they still have no linebackers so anyone with a pulse can run against them. They also lost James Morgan to the draft.

Tulane taking care of business will be a deciding factor in the success of the conference this year.....time for WF to take a leap forward.

Don't forget ECU @ SC on 9/12
SC was 4-8 last year, but does get this one at home. An ECU win isn't out of the realm of possibility, but probably out of the realm of probability.

If Mike Houston can win @SC in his 2nd year w/t Citadel then we should have more than a puncher's chance this year. ECU has an offense that can put up points and have quietly filled in some holes this off-season.

If Mike Houston were to beat SC this year and turn in a halfway respectable record, he is their HC next year. Just my guess.

But no, I don't think it's impossible. SC lost to App State last year. If we can get the offense clicking again ah la Cindy and SMU, then I think we've got a shot. Just need the defense's bus to make it to Columbia.

I'm not going to argue that they are a terrible bet. As stated elsewhere, they make a disproportionate share of revenue in the next best conference. A bet for Boise is basically betting the field if we produce a multiple loss champ.

has 2021 NFL draft odds, including first QB to be taken: Trevor Lawrence is the big favorite at 4/13 followed by Justin Fields at 7/2. But also on the board: Kellen Mond 25/1, Sam Ehlinger 30/1 and Shane Buechele 50/1.

The best case scenario for our conference isn't necessarily that we have the most wins or even a winning record. In a year where we don’t expect to win more than we lose against P5 teams we need to win the ones that matter.

The best case scenario is that we have two undefeated teams at the end of the year and that the OOC teams those two beat somehow end up in their respective conference championship games, maybe one even winning. So...

Houston beats Wazzou and they somehow make the Pac 12 game.
SMU beats TCU and they somehow make the Big XII game.
UCF beats UNC and Ga Tech and they somehow make the ACC game, and
Cincy beats Nebraska and they somehow make their game.

Those are the best scenarios, IMO, of both the AAC team winning and the P5 opponent making their CCG. Memphis should beat Purdue but I don't think Purdue makes it to the Big 10 CG. I can see ECU beating USCe but the gamecocks aren't going to the SEC CG. I don't think Temple beats Miami or USF beats UT, no offense.

UCF winning and UNC facing Clemson in the CCG is the most likely, IMHO.

But we need more traction leading us to a CFP participant, and that's how we get it, I think.

Hey Fishpro hope you are right but see 7-5. Maybe 8 wins if everything breaks right but 6 wins if injuries mount.
