It's official

Yet I’m seeing stories from communities north of us where stores are packed with people driving up north not maintaining distance. Parents and kids without masks in these establishments.

Went down 28th Street an hour ago & it felt as busy as ever. Not sure where people are going considering Big Gretch's late Friday bombshell, but my guess is to families maybe?

Are you going to call the police on them?

(She did open up UP restaurants to 20% capacity, as well as a county in the Mitten where a party she's having this weekend is)

At some point risks will have to be taken.

One of the problems that has not been brought up is, winter is approaching in the Southern Hemisphere.
Cooler temps, etc. could ramp up the virus in a number of Latin America counties. In Florida you get
people visiting during the US's Summer because it is cold where they live(Furriers in Miami have said Summer is their best season). Also you get US citizens visiting relatives in S America because it is
Summer vacation and kids are out of school. This could be a real problem. Obviously open border advocates look pretty stupid at this point.

Bingo, Brazil.

I have to add a comment even though I reside on the EMU board.

I enjoyed nearly all the comments posted here. Thought provoking and impassioned but for the most part civil. Good job guys.

Most business are motivated to make a buck.

The traffic up north, especially at the bridge was thick. Seems to be the trend nationwide, at beaches, vacation spots, you name it. No mitigation. Our next lockdown will be like nothing we've ever seen.

And also 81% of non-Latino's, 2% Latino/Hispanic, and 17% unknown. Of those 81%, 51% are caucasians, 40% are African American.

Doesn't strike me as a fun, enjoyable vacation.

If I'm going to drop that kind of $$$ on a family trip, I'd just wait until next year.

Couple that with 2 or 3 little kids in about 95 degrees with wicked humidity...it’s barely fun when you don’t have to worry about the stuff you listed. I’ll pass!

The locals will go. The kind of people that get season passes & go once a week.

That's not correct. Each state mentioned has data supporting why they're on this list of hot spots, and really, if you look at John Hopkins or the CDC site, you would draw the same conclusion.

However, it's interesting that you have this take, I mentioned in another thread here, I just read through months of posts on this thread. I found that your posts in particular are the ones that lack any substantial data or objective thinking.
