Need W&M Super Fans' Help! (Olde Guarde Needed)
Hey Everyone,

So we're working on putting together some great content for everyone here -- it has to do with highlighting some Tribe Football legends from the past.

However, as you can imagine, some (read: a lot) of info is not on the internet (not where we can find it, at least). If anyone here could help answer any of the below, it would be greatly appreciated!

1. Glen Bodnar -- what was his: height and weight (can be approx), graduation year, and what number did he wear for W&M? A photo would be great.

2. Dick Pawlewicz -- what number did he wear at W&M?

3. Dave Conklin -- what was his: height and weight (can be approx), and does anyone have a photo of him at W&M? Impossible to find it.

4. Vito Ragazzo -- what was his: number at W&M, and does anyone have a photo of him at W&M? Again, impossible to find it.

5. Mike Tomlin -- I'm estimating his height/weight at 5'9" 175 back in the W&M days...sound accurate?

6. Archie Harris -- Anyone have a photo of him? Who knows what number he wore at W&M?

7. Jack Bruce -- Again looking for a photo of him at W&M and the number he wore at W&M.

8. Mark Kelso -- Surprisingly impossible to find a photo of him at W&M...did he wear #38 at W&M?

A massive thank you in advance!

Also very helpful -- appreciate this! Since Bruce played so long ago, in the 40s, I have no idea what his measurements were. Estimating them at 5'10" 170 lb for the time being -- but let me know if that sounds off to you at all. Probably an impossible task there.

Also estimating Dick Pawlewicz at 6'0" 225 lb.

Bodnar was an H-Back. He was tall. 6'5". Probably 235 lbs. He was Yagiello's favorite safety valve. He played for the Redskins scab team in 1987

Amazing info -- THANK YOU all! I think you guys will like some of the content we push out related to these Tribe legends.

Only 1 remaining player with questions now, after looking back over my list (might actually be an impossible find):

Tex Warrington (Center) -- graduated '44, right before Lou Creekmur. Anchored the O-Line during some of the glory years. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (football), and seemingly wore #20 there.

If we can't dig anything up, I'll assume that was the # he wore at W&M.

Great idea -- just found him in the 1944 edition. He's bending down for a snap, but looks like he's wearing #25.

Thank you!

Seriously, guys? Estimating players' height and weight? Your estimate for Tomlin vice the listed size shows the problem with that (although, granted, we all know that many times the listed size of a player is inflated...but guessing it is even worse). Also, assuming a player wore the same number in the pros as he did in college is a bad assumption. In this internet age, any "fact" found online takes on the aura of truth. Your article with players' estimated sizes could become "fact" to future folks researching the internet. I know that you can do better.

Jack Bruce set the W&M record for most interceptions in a game...3...which has since been tied by others.

When Vito Ragazzo caught 15 passes in one season he set the NCAA national record.
