*sigh* under Dr.s orders and supervision.
How did a prescription drug suddenly become political? Who decided to do something as bizarre as that? What party is Tylenol for or against? Does Ibuprofen agree with Ty, or are these one Red, one Blue?
And yes, there are other studies out there that do show efficacy in certain people under certain dosages and proper regimen. Sooooooo.
What President defies the FDA, NIH & CDC and encourages the citizens of his country to take an unproven drug with known side effects?
"An international poll of more than 6,000 doctors released Thursday found that the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine was the most highly rated treatment for the novel coronavirus.
The survey conducted by Sermo, a global health care polling company, of 6,227 physicians in 30 countries found that 37% of those treating COVID-19 patients rated hydroxychloroquine as the “most effective therapy” from a list of 15 options.
Of the physicians surveyed, 3,308 said they had either ordered a COVID-19 test or been involved in caring for a coronavirus patient, and 2,171 of those responded to the question asking which medications were most effective."

Unfortunately it came from a "global health polling company"; To make them happy, it has to be from a "scientific peer-reviewed journal."
And the article is 2 months old...
Since then, studies of the drugs’ effectiveness and it’s deadly side effects have been conducted and have proven our medical community right in their skeptical approach in prescribing it.
Quote:In The Lancet, Mandeep Mehra and colleagues5 report the largest observational study published to date on the effects of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, with or without a macrolide, in 96,032 hospitalised patients (mean age 53·8 years, 46·3% women) who tested positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. Verified data from an international registry comprising 671 hospitals in six continents were used to compare patients with COVID-19 who received chloroquine (n=1868), hydroxychloroquine (n=3016), chloroquine with a macrolide (n=3783), or hydroxychloroquine with a macrolide (n=6221) within 48 h of COVID-19 diagnosis, with 81,144 controls who did not receive these drugs. The primary outcome was in-hospital mortality and the occurrence of de-novo non-sustained or sustained ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation was also analysed. A Cox proportional hazard model accounting for many confounding variables, including age, sex, ethnicity, comorbidities, other medications, and COVID-19 severity, showed a significant increase in the risk of in-hospital mortality with the four treatment regimens compared with the control group (hazard ratios [HRs] of 1·335 [95% CI 1·223–1·457] to 1·447 [1·368–1·531]). Analyses using propensity score matching by treatment group supported this result. The increased risk of in-hospital mortality was similar in men (1·293 [1·178–1·420] to 1·408 [1·309–1·513]) and women (1·338 [1·169–1·531] to 1·494 [1·334–1·672]). The incidence of repetitive ventricular arrhythmias ranged from 4·3% to 8·1% in patients treated with a 4-aminoquinoline, compared with 0·3% in the control group (p<0·0001).
Despite limitations inherent to the observational nature of this study, Mehra and colleagues should be commended for providing results from a well designed and controlled study of the effects of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, with or without a macrolide, in a very large sample of hospitalised patients with COVID-19. Their results indicate an absence of benefit of 4-aminoquinoline-based treatments in this population and suggest that they could even be harmful.
I actually took the time to read through the crap (including the sources) this afternoon. I will just say that there are statistical holes in that study, starting with the sample.
I will just add that the same Uncorrectable Sacred Science that locked us down two months ago is clueless as to how to unlock us; so, maybe scientists aren't the sacred gods that we thought they were.
Interesting that President Eisenhower in the famous speech where he warned of the "Military - Industrial Complex" issued another warning of what was to come in the future which has been forgotten. We're seeing it now in the biggest policy mistake ever in the history of the world. The lockdown phenomenon is worldwide. It may take decades to recover from the economic damage and pain and suffering that throwing millions into unemployment and poverty has done.
Eisenhower feared that scientific - technological elites would gain enough power to control policy. Think Bill Gates and Anthony Faucci. Eisenhower was a very smart guy.

CB, Mensa, Tom and to some extent JD have become completely unhinged. The willingness to be lead around by the nose and never thinking for themselves is disgusting to normal people.
My point is this, people who think for themselves had better get to the polls come November and vote. We are one generation from losing our freedom and these jackasses prove it.

I thought Democrats believed in "Choice" and believed strongly that a women or mans body was their own. Now you and your power mad Big Borther libs are spazzing out because some have found the drug (which is legal and has been approved by the FDA) is helpful in the fight against Coivid-19.
So, I guess you guys are now ok with blocking all abortions since they can result in DEATH to the women seeking the abortion. We need for crazy unsafe dangerous liberals to STOP TELLING WOMEN its "ok" to get ABORTIONS when every year women actually DIE in America from the procedure. Its just insane that they would suggest an elective procedure that could kill the patient!! Absolutely unreal how wildly irresponsible that is.
lol....do you libs even try to be consistent? No wonder you cant keep everyone in the tent.

They're back. If you eat them every day, it prevents COVID-19 100% as effectively as taking hydroxychloroquine, without the hallucinations, paranoia and heart failure:
The Story of the Vanishing Cookie Hydrox “The Original Sandwich Cookie,” debuted in 1908 as the signature product of Sunshine Biscuits. The cookie ruled the category until 1912 when National Biscuit, later Nabisco, created Oreo to compete with Hydrox. Over the years Hydrox was the staple item in kitchen cabinets across the US. Then, in 1999, Keebler bought Sunshine Biscuit, changed the name to Droxies, and made it sweeter. A short time later the cookie left the market. In 2008, with great fanfare, Kellogg’s, which now owned Keebler and Sunshine, brought Hydrox back to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the famous cookie only to cease production after a few months on the market. A New Start In 2013 Leaf Brands decided to bring back the famous Hydroxcookie exactly as you remember it, with its original ingredients including real sugar, real vanilla flavor, non-hydrogenated oils and no artificial flavors or colors and now non-GMO! Unlike its major competitor, All Hydrox cookies are proudly made in the USA because we believe in creating American jobs and baking the best cookie possible, not worrying about stockholder dividends. The Leaf Brands mission is to bring back the experiences you loved as a kid. We took a long time to make sure each Hydrox sandwich cookie you eat is just like the last one you enjoyed 20 or even 30 years ago. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed bringing them back. Remember, there’s only one Original Sandwich Cookie and HYDROX is it! * Leaf Brands, LLC and the new Hydrox are not affiliated with the previous owners of the Hydrox brand.
