The verdict is still out on Pruitt. UT may not be far off from being above average to good. (not great) Once they believe they're back maybe they won't be scared to play us.

Pruitt is heading in the right direction. I would say they have a chance to be pretty good by normal standards but the SEC still has 2-4 monsters every year that live in the neighborhood UT can't yet afford.

With the resources UT has it is amazing they became as dysfunctional as they were for a decade.

I mean, good job for Tennessee on the recruiting trail. However, to be specifically honest, in the first year under Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee offered the most scholarships to players in the P5, and arguably the whole country. Yes, they're setting the world on fire with 10+ commitments within a 30-45 day span. However, they do have twelve 3*s. That's a lot for an SEC school. There average is at 89, which is currently 7th in the SEC. They do have 252 points (247 sports), which is the reason why they're first, but reality will kick in when Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M finishes their class.

Tennessee will probably get 5 more commitments, but that's it.

My guess is the word is out that the bank is open for business....
