I’ve innocently popped in to check out a house under construction many times without the thought of being shot and killed, but I suppose that’s the luxury of being white. It’s too why we have police to investigate and not hang mobs.

The two trigger happy idiots are best locked up and removed from society.

He popped into two houses. It appears he had a hammer. It appears he had been burglarizing the neighborhood for weeks and weeks.

Stop injecting race into this.

Are there police reports outlining weeks and weeks of burglaries. The only one I’ve seen on record is for a gun that was lifted from a car.

The bottom line is if you introduce deadly force the you had damn well better be prepared to live with the consequences. These men’s lives we not threatened until they decided to load up the truck and foolishly take matters into their own hands. Now, their lives are ruined and this 25yo guy is dead for, at worst, a hammer. Stupid decisions with deadly results.

Funny how jogger has now been debunked and we are now at hey we all trespass on other people's property. Everyone knows he was looking for stuff to steal. Do you think he was looking for construction ideas for his new house he was building? LOL. It is going to be not guilty let the riots commence!

Pretty clear he was scoping things out. But the title is misleading just as the other one was. He wasn't murdered and he didn't commit burglary even if he was thinking about it.

Cant believe the idiots posting in this thread...

I have been in home construction for 25 years... I would say at least 3 people a day come up and walk through a house we are working on... and double that who stop and ask if it is ok for them to walk through the house.

This is as normal as anything...

And the person saying "if he were afraid for his life he wouldnt have ran up to two men with guns" or whatever stupid crap it was he said...

SO you are saying this man was so unbelievably brave and tough that he went after 2 men with guns because he thought it might be fun???? Think before you post... Fear makes you do desperate things.

Agree, entering a construction site to look at it, is nothing and definitely not cause for a citizens arrest.

Let me guess, neither of you had $1000s of dollars of tools stolen or 10s of thousand in damage from construction sites? There is zero reason to walk into someone else property to just 'check it out' without premission.

BTW mensa he was shot and killed because he attacked a man who had a gun. He would be alive today and walking into other peoples property...while out jogging. If he kept on jogging instead of trying a blindside attack on the other idiot in this. Then trying to take the idiots gun.

That's why he's dead or did you see a different video?

when I was little my parents built a custom house in Collierville and it was one of the first in the neighborhood. When they would build a new house in the neighborhood we would always walk over (so would the couple of other neighbors) to check out the floor plans. Seemed normal as could be...now I doubt that's what dude was doing but still.

Key part someone was there and they asked. Let me ask you a question, how many times have you had damage or stolen items in those 25 years? I started my company when I was a Sr in high school and while I dont run it any more its still going strong 42 years later. On a Sunday afternoon when no one is around I dont want anyone in a home I'm building that doesnt belong there. In those 42 years we had at least 100k in damage or stolen goods. Been sued 3 times from people tripping while they 'looked around'

So you are a idiot if you are ok with people just walking in while no one is on the site. One other question. Do they run away when someone walks in or sees them? If you think this guy was just checking out the floor plan...you are a bigger idiot than you think others are.

Quote:I would say at least 3 people a day come up and walk through a house we are working on... and double that who stop and ask if it is ok for them to walk through the house.

As for the last part, I agree with you on fear can make you do strange things. I just rewatched the video and the man had 10 seconds before he reached the truck. Fear or not most people that knows there are 2 people with guns in that truck and they have 10 whole seconds before getting to it....

AVOIDS the danger. I would guess 99.9% sure wouldnt go and attack a man with a gun if they were afraid and had other options. All 3 people made bad decisions but one thing I'm 100% sure on. All 3 would be alive today if Ahmaud Arbery, kept jogging and not chose to attack a man who had a gun. Fear doesnt dismiss that stupid action that lead to his death.

He shouldn’t have to run around a dumb ass in the street aiming a shotgun at him.

Whoa. What video did you watch where a gun was aimed at him while running.

There you go, making things up again.

Why cant you just deal in the facts and stop making up bullcrap. Show me a picture of anyone pointing a gun at him while he was jogging?

If I'm in New Orleans walking I shouldnt have to make a decision on crossing the street or going a different direction if I see a group of men in between two buildings.

It's called making a smart and safest choice. We all make them and I bet if I keep walking and hit one of those men...I'm going to end up getting my ass kicked, beat or maybe killed. For making a bad decision.

Im a contractor. I’ve had over $50,000 worth of concrete grinding/polishing equipment stolen from me in the last two years.

I still wouldn’t really think twice if I saw someone looking in a house under construction. I see people out for walks do it all the time in the city. I do it myself. It’s just a curiosity thing. There are a lot of people that go to open houses as a hobby simply because people like house design.

To me, i see it commonly enough that it doesn’t seem unusual or suspicious.

I know in my neighborhood we keep hearing about contractors in the back having equipment stolen from the front of a yard. And I know one painter who had his van with all his equipment stolen.

Thats why its easy pickings and its also why it one of most common thefts. We finially just started taking the trailer and any tools a sub left. I dont understand why people think this is ok, not the open houses or when a crew is working. But to enter a building just because the door is open and no one is there. Would people feel the same way about being nosy and walking in a open garage door?

Would you think twice if you drove up to the house and you saw someone in there and when you tried to make contact..they ran?

My ex used to love walking around neighborhoods and snooping in houses under construction. We spent a whole afternoon in Kingwood doing it once. Made me nervous as hell, because we were clearly trespassing without permission, but she persisted in doing it.

We were up in Klein when the police stopped us. And we didn't even go in. We were just looking in the windows.
