No I would think that is pretty normal. In regular times you're getting kids on campus and have the ability to set your board for who to look at during the coming season. Without the camps could be more of a blind lottery. It may give non P5 teams the ability/opportunity to grab some really good players who are not able to get out to camps and earn the bigger offers. Keeps the sleepers hidden so to speak. Not necessarily in the kids best interest but may give a bit of upper hand to NIU. Also good relationships with high school coaches will bear fruit. We are hitting Nebraska and the western Midwest harder going for the (stereotyping here) big beef in the farm market. Haberman looks like he could be a stud, plus he wears a certain NIU first round draft choices number. Good Karma/English. :)

247 finally updated the rankings on 11 of the 12 verbals. NIU jumped from 100 to 41 in the nation and 3rd in the MAC. Tajheem Lawson is now our highest ranked recruit.

Inroads into Heroh are going to huge for recruiting. This is a good sign. I know several involved with Heroh (including the founder) and all speak very highly of this staff. One Heroh associate that's a former Illini player told me after this commitment that although he loves his Illini he's getting ready to wear NIU hoodies because of the job we're doing recruiting.

It's been a long time since Illinois got a top tier player from the state. I'm talking top 5 type guy

That is a tall punter. His Minnesota bio says he was the number 4 ranked punter in the Midwest as a senior.

Does this mean that Hohenthaner is gone or they're going to carry 3 punters? He is 6'5" too.
