You have to beat UCF before you can claim to be ahead of us.

Funny. We were ahead of you last year.

I still think ucf will be the best team next year. I hope it's uc. Memphis, uc and ucf could all be top 25 caliber.

This is correct. He's actually pretty favorable to the American and when factoring out UCONN last year, had us better than the ACC.

His numbers for betting purposes are more accurate than any other out there - I think his win rate last year was in the mid 60%. The American is 6th but the gap between 6th and 2nd is smaller than 6th and 7th. As a conference we're really just in no-man's land. Not quite the level of Power 5, but far better than any other G5 conference.

I think the biggest thing that separates us is not having 1 or 2 teams that regularly hang out in the Top 10 of the polls. Basically we don't have a blue-blood in this conference. That's about the only big difference.

I hear your struggles. Give up your victories. Let UCF become that blue blood.

For the good of the conference.

*in Winston Churchill voice*
We shall never surrender a home victory to you! We shall triumph over UCF at 11th and Harvard, and Reign Cane over them for a hundred years!!!

I’d agree with that. Only big loss was the HC it will take time to see how the new guy does I guess.

True. But I'd say he did pretty dang well in the Cotton Bowl. We scored more on Penn State than any team all season.

Their O line just opened holes in our D line you could drive a Mack Truck through. Sideways.

So his top 5 returning for Temple doesn't include Jadan Blue. Branden Mack or Re'Mahn Davis who combined for 2,152 receiving, 970 rushing and 21 TDs. I think we should be okay then.

Once again, these morons have failed to learn anything about the quality of the better G5 teams. They only include two G5 teams in their top 25. Bozos!

Every single season, they predict only one or two G5 teams will be among the nation's top 25, and every single season, there are 4, 5, or 6 G5 teams in the nation's final top 25.

They don't even care about being accurate. They're playing some kind of a game, playing up to the sensibilities of the P5 conferences.

Thus, their predictions have very little integrity. They are shills with a vested interest and a conflict of interests, posing as experts.

Agree. If the Cotton Bowl is any indication (Silverfield's first game coaching), we will continue to have a killer O and a soft D.

i am wildly interested in seeing what Mike MacIntyre does with the Memphis defense next season, that guy can flat out coach. going back to a 3-4 may be better suited for our personnel on that side of the ball so thats probably smart.

The problem with these head to head matchups from a ranking prospective is that it gives the voters the excuse they need to low rank our teams - lose and they dropout of the T25. Doesn't happen that way with the P5, especially the SEC & B1G. But we should have a real conference champion & that's the good in this scheduling (along with UConn gone). Hope we get a champ that hasn't been blooded up & can win out - give no excuse to the pollsters.

That's gonna be tough. The league looks deeep next year.

UCF/Memphis/UC top25 caliber

SMU/Navy/Tulane/Temple are all on the door knocking

Houston/ECU/Tulsa are all really tough outs

USF has the talent on the field and headset to surprise.

I don't really see any easy outs. RIP REDACTED
