I think we've chatted before on Yosef's Cabin, and I even think I bought some tickets from you at some point. My App State degree is in Entrepreneurship, but I landed this job mostly due to 2 associate degrees earned while testing and subsequently designing/implementing electronic countermeasures systems on military cargo aircraft. My boss is a serial entrepreneur and founded CREE as well as several other large companies. He's from Boone and I caught a lucky break for ANY city - especially a small town called Boone. I seem to recall you know a friend of mine that advises us as well as NASA and Exxon. He has a mustache.

We had several in my class get religion. One left after 1L to become a missionary. Two I graduated with are pastors, one full-time, one part-time in addition to his practice. And bunch of deacons, elders, and religious miscellany.

I have found law to be easier to do than selling cars, doing IT work or being an Air Force staff officer/general's gopher. (And yes, I've tried all those things.)

You and your classmates have seen a lot - especially those who have served in the armed forces or public service. Did you "get religion?" This isn't a bad time to think about and read again those things that you know to be true.

You should be pretty busy with the low rates recently. I got 2.75% on a VA refi.

We are extremely busy. That’s a great grab too! Good to enjoy these low rates while the market has taken a big hit, who knows how long it’ll be here though once the economy starts building back up.

It's amazing, especially if you remember 1981 rates above 17%. And as a VA loan, this will be assumable. How rare is that nowadays!

I just closed on a house at 3.375 on a convetional, granted my rate was locked about a week after the half interest cut to the prime rate but at the time interest rates were yo-yoing with the bond market going insane.

Still happy with the rate.

Court is closed throughout NC until June 1 at the earliest, but believe it or not people are still ****ing up and my city's police force is still obliged to take them to jail. I go to court on occasion for first appearances, but mainly just meeting with clients by phone and having bond hearings with judges/DAs remotely via Webex.

The stakes are higher than ever for the country that locks more people in cages than anyone in history by far.

Aside from Freeing the People I'm hitting the golf course more often and playing more music.

PGA Professional at a 36 hole private club. Who knew a global pandemic would mean rounds would be up 50% from last year. In early March we all thought we’d be lucky to have a job. Now we’re praying for a rainy day. Happy to still have a job though.

Did I see something where the USA population in jail was higher than every other country combined? That seems a bit high, but it also would not surprise me, we lock up a f-ton of people, though never the ones that truly screw up communities and entire economies.

Sports handicapper (fmr pro hoops player for 3 yrs) - sitting on my butt most days with little to no meaningful sports analytics to study... loss of serious income coming in until NBA, CFB, MLB and MLB start working again.

Yeah, a significant portion of my income relies on public events, and those aren't happening for a while. I'm currently having to try and find work on the side in the middle of a pandemic without interfering with my current job. This sucks.
