We really need Idowu to be good enough to start at the 4, or at least get very significant minutes (unless the last scholarship slot is filled with someone who fits that bill).

At this point I am just hoping there will be a basketball season for her to compete in.

Coach Stephens just tweeted this somewhat cryptic item. Does the "commits" plural imply there will be another announcement soon? Not sure.

While some high-school students dream of bolting town and going as far away as possible to attend college, that was never a priority for Rossford senior Sammi Mikonowicz.

Love it. If only more local players had that mentality. There's been a ton of DI talent in NW Ohio over the last few decades. Could you imagine if Cullop could miraculously sign that VanSlooten player? Hometown hero....

She has a very high GPA I am sure that she probably has a full academic ride

If Stephens is telling other recruits that their scholarship offers are no longer on the table, then that must mean we got a commitment for the last scholarship. Coaches aren't allowed to say anything specific until the paperwork is signed.

Rockets get a 2021 verbal from 6'2 Jessica Cook from Syracuse NY.

I just saw that 6'3" Keasja Peace is grad transferring from Houston. She is from Rogers H.S. in Toledo, then was at Michigan for two years before transferring to Houston. She hardly played at Michigan and played nine minutes per game last year at Houston. I don't think that Cullop trusts Lexi Lance as a back-up for Beacham, so Peace might be a good fit in that regard. I would rather see us get a power forward, though.

Women's game is getting taller. Never struck me as scrawny. Maybe it was back to the basket where she struggled at the higher level. Can probably do power forward.

UT still has the one scholarship open for this year, and 1 more for 2021.

Holy smokes she looks 25 in some of her pictures.

Paynter had committed to Morehead State, but has now decommitted. Still only see Toledo, Murray St and WKU as offers, but there are reportedly other schools showing interest. Also appears she has already scored 2000 points.
