Knicks in the 1970s
Remember the stretch of five or six years in the '70's when Earl Monroe and Walt Frazier were in the same backcourt with the New York Knicks? That had to have been on of the best guard tandems in NBA history. Clyde and the Pearl. Lots of good memories there.

I was in high school, during the early 70's and, while I was a fan of the ABA NY Nets, I did go to some playoff games and got to see those two in the backcourt for the Knicks. As a Net fan, I did get to see a lot of Rick Barry and Julius Irving, up close and personal.

It has always amazed me that the worst FT shooter and the best both used the underhand method, with totally different results.

And as far as I am concerned, you can keep Jordan, because (with the single exception of David Thompson) Dr. J. was the most exciting player to watch I have ever seen. I remember seeing him do one of those FT line dunks - in a live game. Amazing.
