RE: Coach Fick's Recruiting
Not to single out a particular player, but it was refreshing to watch the 'Cats against Boston College when Hudson stepped in and all those drive killing penalties on the offensive line magically disappeared. Hudson might have meant another regular season win or a split at Memphis for a chance to play Penn State.

Thanks to Jim Harbaugh, we'll never know what could have been. Thanks to Luke Fickell, for continuing to obtain the right players on the roster and putting them in position for team success. MUCH to look forward to this fall.

If we win the conference and make the NY6 bowl this year he’s the best coach in UC history. I know that’s a big if.

The contrast with cadaverville is stark. In Fickell I trust.

I don't disagree with you but oddly enough, Tubberville recruited quite a few dudes who ultimately at least made a couple training camps and a few on NFL rosters. His diamond in the rough strategy wasn't full of hits but there were a couple, Josiah Deguara being one.

If only Tuberville could have learned any of their names.

Grandad recruited? The CEO Retired-Coach-In-Person had staff to do that. And for everything else but wear his headset...

RE: Coach Fick's Recruiting
Not really fair to judge Navy on this list. Navy has huge classes - they had 39 signees in 2020 according to 247 (86 according to rivals). Most of them just go to the practice squad, but it brings Navy's overall score down.

247's team rankings aren't additive. They have some type of weighting system where adding more lower-ranked recruits actually brings down your overall ranking.

I think the AAC had an issue with this, not just UC. This was mentioned on many broadcasts that the AAC had the highest penalized teams in the Div 1, compared to other conferences. Maybe the problems were with the refs?

Some of it had to be the refs, but in the case of the Bearcats we also were guilty a lot of times.

Yup way too many false start IIRM 03-banghead

At least a very easy penalty to get your team to resolve
