RE: Hey, JayBird (J-Boy)!
Talked with Jay this evening. He is progressing very well (about 85% back to normal). Still gets tired a little more quickly than before.
He, like the rest of us, is definitely ready for some live sports to talk about.
He said to please pass along his thanks for all the greetings. He was quite touched by how many people took time to send along their Get Well wishes.

Keep battling Jay! Your 85% is better than my 100%. Starting to mark my calendar with special events that are going to come back. I guess we have the NFL draft this week at least. Stay safe everyone.

Glad to see Jay on the up and up, but oh that hurt. :-)
Jay, obviously, wasn't ready to go until that epitaph could be changed!

"Also along that line, Colley considered while hospitalized what epitaph would be appropriate for his tombstone. He concluded that “Play-by-play man with the longest tenure who has never called an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game” might be too wordy."

Mr. Colley isn't the only person contemplating regional scheduling. Quotes from Notre Dame basketball coach worth a read. Even the "haves" are thinking about change.
