XFL shuts down operations. Tough enough for a new league to survive- coronavirus was its death knell. I never really watched it. Maybe turned it on a couple of times mostly to see the size of the crowds. I would think the major leagues like the NBA, NHL, NFL, MSL,and MLB can survive this. Minor leagues, not directly affiliated with these leagues, are likely in serious trouble.

I am hopeful that the Lincoln Saltdogs and teams in their independent league will muddle through. By the time the season gets going folks will be really ready to get out into the sunshine and open air and see some sports, and they are the only game in town during the summer.
