RE: What grinds your gears?
My neighbors who don't understand that they need to stop putting the flag up on the mailbox, as their mail is continually stolen. They have been warned by me, other neighbors, their kids, and our mail carrier not to put the flag up to get their mail picked up. All it does is alert thieves. There's a post office a half a mile away. They are both able-bodied people. They complain about the problem but don't listen to anyone who has warned them.

I put mail in my box, don't put the flag up and nothing happens to it!

hold on for a sec....I need to hear more....

why would someone steal mail due to a 'raised flag'???

you're a fk'n moron if you send cash via usps....I'll assume to 'x' that one....

if it's anything other than cash, it's worthless to the thief.....so 'x' that one....

however, if it's muh mary jane or other substance that provides a 'courier signal', well it's not thievery....

I'm at a loss on this one....

When you raise the flag on the mailbox, thieves will steal mail, looking for checks, that you are sending out to pay bills with. At least that's what happens here in ABQ. It's such a problem that USPS sends out advisory postcards a couple of times a year. During the holidays, thieves are looking for gift cards.

One possibility that has crossed my mind, is teenagers are just stealing it to be jerks.

Well, it's Alburquerque what can you expect? Anyway, those teens will live out their teen years behind bars if they continue. The Feds don't take lightly to stolen mail only erased emails from secretary of states.

RE: What grinds your gears?
I normally run at a couple parks by me, but since we have been doing the social distancing I have run through my large residential neighborhood the past few weeks. When I run I take precautions: I wear reflective clothing, a head lamp and running against traffic.

In my neighborhood I still almost get run over. This morning I had two people drive all the way on the other side of the road- heck I had to go into the shoulder, and the card still nearly hit me. There was no other traffic, no cars parked on the side of the road, this was just people driving on the wrong side of the road.

if there's one thing I've noticed due to covid19, is people have become more aggressive on the roads...

ya might want to drive to a park or isolated area where there are no vehicles on your path....

to be brutally honest, just b/c you think you stand out, you have zero business jogging on the road w/o the expectation of getting hit at some point...

I put ~70mi./day and I'm hauling heavy equipment.....it's guys like you that grind my fk'n gears....wtf does one do if there's oncoming traffic in a corner at 40 mph and some dickhead is running AT ME IN THE DARK....

I've run over dogs and cats due to one choice vs. the other....

don't be that dog or cat.....you'll lose that battle...

As I noted above, I was in a residential neighborhood- a subdivision. There were no trucks driving through the area at 70 mph (well, there should not be). The PSL is 25 mph. I job running against traffic, which is the rule of the road. There was barely any cars out this morning at 5am, but I did have a few cars go by me and like I said two were driving on the wrong side of the road and were so close to the curb they nearly ran into me.

When there are two cars coming down both directions I do my best to hop onto a sidewalk or in the grass if necessary. I usually avoid running on the sidewalk because a) the concrete on the sidewalk is rougher than the asphalt on the street (more wear and tear on my knees) b) sidewalks have more defects and c) sometimes people leave bicycles, toys, trash cans, other things on the side walk for me to run into.

I don't run, I walk. And I seldom go out at night. Our neighborhood is pretty secluded--every street either loops back or dead ends, so you don't go through here on your way to anywhere else, unless perhaps your car is also a boat. With those provisos, I've never really had any problems. Folks go out of their way to avoid walkers and runners. I guess I'm just fortunate to be where I am.

I walk briskly 2 to 2.5 miles a day and cover it 29 and 37 minutes respectively. The area is moderate in terms of population walking. Everyone has practiced the social distancing principles and only on 1 walk did anyone sneeze (pollen most likely) and that guy ran off of the path into the edge of the woods to sneeze away from people. So, so far, no complaints here.

RE: What grinds your gears?
During our isolation might I suggest two constructive things you can do to improve your outlook on life and which will provide a reward to both you and others in addition to un-grinding your gears.

1. Call up old friends you haven't talked to in quite awhile and tell them in the midst of this mess you just wanted to check on them and remind them they are valued. This helps to rebuild old social networks that will help you through a time in which day to day social networks may have been disrupted. It will also reconnect you with some of your roots and remind you of why you made choices that have led to your current position in life. In that regard it silences the brains focus on the negative and reconnects the dots the path of which made sense out of your life.

This will help when you can go out day to day again in that it will remind you why you are where you are.

2. Call up the people who have been very positive influences in your life and check on them and thank them. This too will remind you of your self worth as these people invested their time in you. They saw your worth.

Thanking them kills the negative emotion of regret. We all regret what we fail to tell others, especially when it is too late. It's a natural part of being human and mobile. We lose contact and while busy don't take the time to be appreciative of others.

By calling them at this time you will remind them of the worth of their lives and that they have given meaning and purpose to others. That's a fantastic boost to anyone. And in the process you will not only remember that you too are valuable, but you will be clearing your mind of the clutter of regret, both past and present and potentially future.

Free your mind to be positive and the negative will fade away. It's a much less crude way to say, "Free your mind and your ass will follow."

Peace and blessings only await expression!

You don't get it on this one Stink. The "isolation" is the oldest tactic in the book for the breakdown in social cohesion. The telephone and maintaining your contacts, your support base, and sharing ideas via voice, rather than by email, is quite effective to break the isolation.

Positive beats negative every time if you have tagged your enemy. Trust has to be maintained in a world looking to isolate "Truth" which is precisely what we are experiencing.

Isolated and alone is the perfect recipe for destruction of self.

With what we might be facing ahead of us I want to be able to count on my friends, trust my advocates and counselors, and remain connected.

We haven't hit the need for detached contact yet.

This whole thing is real, but overhyped reality. COVID 19 was a lab orchestrated biological pathogen. It is supposed to be novel but isn't killing that way. It's targeting the immune compromised and the elderly. Have you asked yourself why? Those are the ones who have received flu and pneumonia inoculations. I think this virus is engineered to overreact with the presence of those vaccines.

Isolate the elderly and the susceptible and you kill off two elements the left doesn't want. Those with a memory of the 100% failure rate of the policies of the left, the evil of communism, and the pathology of fascism. That means they aren't around to teach their grandchildren and remind their children of their life lessons. And from a left wing government perspective these are the people they intended to kill of with Obama Care. They are also the ones they pressed into vaccinations. This is why I also find it highly suspicious that this virus's total deaths are over 65% accounted for among those over 65, and most of the younger people who have died were immune compromised in one way or another.

Falling victim to the global hype agenda:

The economy of the EU.
The economy of Great Britain.
The economy of the United States.

Collateral damage within those free world countries:
The suspension of civil liberties.

The insistence by the government that you go cashless and give them the two way window they want into your personal banking accounts.

The recommendation of McConnel (a supreme idiot) that state's should be allowed to declare bankruptcy which not only trashes the confidence remaining in the economy but essentially gives the Federal Government total control over those states (almost all large and blue).

Places a generational tax burden on the people.

They are making all institutions of higher learning suffer. This will close the independent voices of small private schools and make state schools more dependent upon federal money which will make all of them march lockstep with the new agenda.

The MSM has also created these continuing panics:

Initial reports led to artificial shortages of stupid stuff like toilet paper.

They are playing the race card by intimating a disparity of deaths are to African Americans. The disparity is to the elderly.

They are now trying to set up an early buying panic that will make it appear we have a meant shortage by Fall.

So Stink while this board provides some levity and a little bit of useful information the bigger picture nationally is more foreboding than many want to even think about.

Therefore buddy, we've got to keep our wits about us, remain highly suspicious as to the motives of what we are asked to comply with, and understand that all of this was a serendipity for the globalist movement worldwide which had gotten its ass handed to it by Brexit, by Boris Johnson's election to Prime Minister, by Trump's economy and Trump's refusal to play dead with the Red Chinese, and to actually have the people rejecting what the Corporate Overlords wanted us to have, or more specifically not to have (healthcare, savings, prosperity, and the ability to hang onto to real property).

I have friends in Germany and in Belgium who have family property that dated back for hundreds of years and they were under constant attack financially by the government regulations of the EU raising their taxes, limiting their income, and trying to force them to sell property.

This is no accident and I simply don't believe that these bastards had that kind of good fortune following their losses to achieve their global domination plans.

They own the MSM, they fostered the EU, hate Brexit, wanted our currency to be pegged to the Euro and vice versa, wanted open trade with Asia for cheap labor, and they liberals here who support them would be shocked to find out it is their recycling programs for plastics which are dropping bundles of recycled plastic, which there is very little market for, into the oceans killing the life at the bottom of the sea and threatening an entire eco system.

For those brainless ***** they will inherit a world that the rock stars of the socialist culture will have destroyed.

The U.S. was in position to control its own destiny and to pay off its national debt, high as it was, because of our 1950's philosophy to use the World's oil and cap ours. When oil goes past peak, which it has in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, and given the cost of extraction for Russia, that put the U.S. in position to dominate that market going forward.

Globalist Corporate Executives here in the U.S. and in Europe (Putin) and China (a major consumer) didn't want that to happen. So the tanking of it is there strike at those in this nation who were corporately positioned to thwart their agenda.

This stuff doesn't happen all at once by accident. It was carefully planned and executed with the design to put one of the Cucks back in the White House in November.

So Sticking together, and all of that positive stuff, is step one in how to prevent these bastards from taking control. We need our social connections intact and we need to be able to dominate our local government so sheriffs departments don't act lockstep with the Feds in case a much more hostile Commander in Chief is installed in the Fall when blue state ballot boxes are stuffed with phony votes mailed in from those allegedly to scared to show up at the polls.

No matter how statistically insignificant the death rate is overall they will continue to fudge the numbers, up the shortages, and drive fear until they can put another Bush/Clinton/Obama in the White House.

In my life I've never seen a so called "Free Society" go after a duly elected leader like they have this one. The reason is they couldn't afford to have Trump kill their plans and taking out one man was going to be easier than taking out all of his supporters. But taking out the elderly puts a dent in his base since those people remember what "Left" really means.

So stay sharp, stay ready, stay positive, and stay connected and we'll give the pricks a run for the damned money!
