And based on what Governor Cuomo is saying, tiny states with no real issues yet get just about as much as New York is getting.

Economic stimulus, not case relief. Almost everybody is out of work, regardless of the severity of the situation, due to stay at home orders. 01-wingedeagle

Right... I was referring to the whole bill...not just the one time payments. Hence why I said tiny states and not tiny people. 03-wink

Yeah, those saying weekly, I dont get it. This is a money grab and lets not mistake it for a money grab for only those poor people. (I know you didnt say that or anything like it). Those people making close to that 75k a year are the ones still getting paid (not all) and they will still get their $1,200 + $500 for each child. Just as those still working at the local minit marts.

Just as those that are still getting their SS check next month should and will get their onetime $1,200 check. When the government basically tells you to lockdown....

EVERYONE is hurt in some form. While I'm totally against the shutdown in the first place. I'm totally for this being a 350 million people pay day, if you fall under the limits. Once you open that door and go down that road...

no ifs ands or buts

If this hurts hard enough, people will think a lot harder the next time.

Cuomo was referring to "lost revenue". He wants the fed to give New York money they aren't getting from taxes. Cuomo needs to call up Schumer, he said this was "What WE wanted". The Senate minority leader is from his state.

This. They hate kids. Fight to terminate them before they are born. Wonder if they have a section in the bill that pays for the number of abortions a woman has had in the past 2 years?

OSC is threatening to call for a recorded vote which would delay this till at least next week. That would be the final nail in her coffin

The idea is to give people money to get through. The higher income have nowhere to spend it. They already have money for groceries.

The only reason not to means test it is in order to make it go out faster.

Thats what I say....

everyone or no one gets it if they fall under the income limits. No exceptions for people who are still working or getting unemployment, or a SS check, or even a check already been paid for by taxpayers. Everyone under the limits set by this bill.

Saying that I still say we handled it 100% wrong. But all or none that fall under the limits

So a rogue Pub Rep from KY is forcing Reps to fly to DC for the stimulus vote. What a terrible move.

I don't understand why this guy would pull something like this, but if he does, I hope he is done in November. I'd love to see both sides plaster this guy.

I don't understand why congress can't/wont propose/pass legislation that allows today's technology to take over when 'in session'....

You know the answer to that one. The gravy train is in DC not in the home district. I say this is an opportunity to END DC. How stupid is it to have all members of all three branches of the government in a 68 square mile area of the country? GRAVY. Send them and keep them home.
