RE: What if
I had thought about the fact that we should have cut down the nets after clinching the Sun Belt regular season title. Would have been a nice memory for the players and us fans. At the time, I thought Darrell's decision to wait until we clinched the NCAA berth made sense. Hindsight is always 20/20. Who could have predicted this situation? I guess there were doctors and epidemiologists warning us, but those in high places thought they were being "chicken little".

I also wondered why the nets were not cut down at home after clinching the regular season championship as is usually done. Although I think the odds were excellent that the Trojans would have won the SBC Tourney, I’ve seen the favorite in one bid leagues lose in their conference tournaments too many times to assume it was a done deal. It’s really too bad that the players didn’t get that memory, especially how the season ended.
Hindsight is 20/20, but when all of the epidemiologists and doctors are giving warning and it’s ignored by leaders, it’s called irresponsible and reckless!
