RE: Looks like Boogie will be back
Please be safe and isolate as much as possible so we pay the heavy price now and can get a semblance of normal by the fall

Please

It is weird celebrating RETURNING players, but today there is such a higher chance that kids transfer so in a way it is a score

Boogie, based on his size and what will be experience next year can be one of the better guards in the league, and seriously, in the country

-rather than the Tigers having a “what if” season, EVERYONE had a what if? Season.
-therefore there will be less focus on OUR what if season.
-sports writers, fans, and recruits will see last season as an injury riddled fluke.
-2020-2021 will be our Mulligan,
-obviously with (most of) a season’s experience plus another offseason of working on growth areas for the youngest team in America.

or at worst 2021-22 will be our Mulligan. I am afraid the NCAA is going to screw us for 20-21. We will see.

It would be incredibly foolish of him. Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love it for the program but he would be forgoing tens of millions of dollars. That is not a good idea, take the money while it is there...

I think he had a couple of brothers who had dreams of making millions...

I doubt he comes back and postpones that dream for his family any further.

Dayton, SDSU, BYU, and several really good Big East teams would argue with you. It was going to be a fantastic tournament. The only blue blood was Kansas and it would have been fun to see a back to basket big man dominate.

Dayton was really awesome team and I think they had a local kid who was playing well for them. Forgive for memory loss.

Truthfully, I would be way too nervous if he came back. It's time for him to move to the next level. Period. And that's awesome! Exclamation point!

I think another year will be good for him. He can improve his decision making and learn how to see things better. That along with getting his three pointer consistent and he should be ready for the NBA after next season.

He will get better training, Nutrition, experience and guidance in the league...Even if he ends up in the G-League (Doubtful) for a portion of the season.

With all the rules regulating how much interactivity coaches can have with players there is no way he would be in a better situation coming back if he gets guaranteed lottery money.

Others who likely aren't getting any guaranteed contracts...2nd round or worse are better served coming back because they can hopefully improve to be a first round draft pick and get guaranteed money.

You can say something similar about every 1 and done that has ever been a 1 and done with very few exceptions.

If you are not getting on the court in real game play situations, the development stagnates which goes to your point about experience. Right now IMO he would get more of that coming back one more season. And doing that could help him improve his draft status.

I do agree about training (to an extent) and nutrition, but not so much with guidance considering who is on the coaching staff.

True. The difference is they tend to have higher ceilings which is how they are able to be 1-and-done. That doesn't negate what I think Boogie himself needs to work on. For comparison if Precious is 1-and-done (which I expect) or not I would still say the main thing for him to focus on would be perimeter dribbling when trying to take someone one on one. He's not a PG so his court vision is not as important. I understand my view for Boogie can be considered generic, but that does not mean I would apply it to everyone or still make it any less true for Boogie's development.

If he isn't getting real playing time in games he would be sent to the G-League where he will get all the minutes he can handle.

And I agree he should get good instruction from Penny but it would be so limited by NCAA rules. They have unlimited resources in the NBA and he would be able to work with skill coaches\trainers to his hearts desire in the league.
