Don't bother. If you don't go when they open not going to have much to pick from. I finally went this morning because the only staple we were missing was ground beef

Same with our dumb*** gov blackface... new school plan to be unveiled. Our school year doesn't end until late June. If he cancels for the year, there will be riots.

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
I'm expecting Governor Hogan to issue a Shelter In Place for Maryland any minute now. He was scheduled for an 11 am press conference.

Edit: Yup... Just happened. Shelter-in-Place at 5 pm today. Gives us time to collect our office equipment and transport it to home.

Edit #2: Apparently Maryland just ordered all non-essential businesses to close their physical locations.

Quote:“Let me be clear: We are not issuing or ordering a ‘shelter-in-place’ directive or forcing people to stay home,” Hogan said. “However, we are telling all Marylanders to follow all of the directives we’ve already issued and to follow state law against crowds of more than 10 people. And we are telling you unless you have an essential reason to leave your house, then you should stay in your homes.”

WAMU

Not quite sure how this differs from the shelter-in-place directives they issued in California in Illinois though.

Although I have plenty of food my Mom made me Chili, salads, meatloaf and her homemade soup. Kroger is doing a good job in their supply chain.

I can still go on my jogs or walk around the neighborhood I think, but you can pretty much add Virginia to the list.

Won’t call it “Shelter in Place” prefers “Healthy at Home”...lol

Liquor stores are considered essential as reporter at press conference asked if they would be closing. 03-drunk

Wellll, it is one of the food groups, right?

I only heard schools closed for the year, restaurants take out only, only essential businesses to remain on their normal (abnormal) hours. So, to me, basically what was already going on.

Hell, I don't even know if that will close a place like Lowe's or an auto parts store.

You can make an argument that damn near ALL of these places are "essential", they likely wouldn't be in business if not. Sugar Shack donuts? Yea, perhaps not.

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
NM has been issued a stay at home order:

Quote:SANTA FE, N.M.- Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced new restrictions Monday to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The governor is instructing New Mexicans to remain in their home except for outings that are "absolutely necessary for health, safety and welfare." The order restricts gatherings of five or more people in outdoors spaces.

The order, which goes into effect at 8 a.m. Tuesday, closes all non-essential businesses and requires 100 percent of the state's non-essential workforce to work from home.

Essential businesses include:

Health care operations
Homeless shelters, food banks
Grocery stores
Gas stations
Child care services
Farms, ranches, and other food cultivation, processing or packaging operations
Law enforcement, first responders
Infrastructure operations including public works construction airport operations, public transportation, taxis, private transportation providers, water sewer, trash and recycling collection
Manufacturing operations involved in food processing
Services necessary to maintain the safety and sanitation of residences or essential businesses
Media
Hardware stores
Laundromats and dry clean services
Funeral services
Banks, credit unions, insurances providers, payroll services.
Real estate services
Businesses providing mailing and shipping
Laboratories and defense and national security-related operations
Restaurants breweries and distilleries, but only for delivery or carry out
Professional services, such as legal or accounting but only where necessary to assist in compliance with legally mandated activities
Logistics and businesses that store, ship or deliver groceries, food goods, or services directly to residences or retailers

The governor said the order is in effect until April 10.

The governor said New Mexico, unlike other states, does not use the term "shelter in place" because of the way the law is set up. That's why her instruction is to "stay at home." However, Gov. Lujan Grisham said the orders are very similar.

Goofy mayor of Memphis issued a stay at home creed (all the burbs followed) but there’s so many industries exempted it’s pointless. We’re working at our office regardless.

I just read that list from NM, and uhhh, ok. So, daycare, hair salon, arts and craft stores ( unless that can be considered a “hardware” place. What about a Bass pro
Or cabelas if you need ammo for protection, do they stay open?!?

Yeah we're shutting down tomorrow at 5 at the smoke shop. I guess if we really wanted to push back we could do curbside service. Was weird in there today without all the regulars sitting around BSing and solving the worlds problems. I couldn't let anyone past the front counter and had to go into the humidor to get whatever they needed. We had one of our best days ever though.

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
Fastest growing states with spike of positive cases.

New York
New Jersey
Louisiana
California
Michigan
Illinois
Washington
Florida
Connecticut
Texas
Georgia
Penn.
Mass.
Colorado
Tennessee
South Carolina
Those with 100+ new cases with 9903 new cases overall not including the new cases in PR and Guam. Our other 2 territories have none.

New death spikes by states
New York 43
Washington 15
Louisiana 14
Those are more than 10 deaths with a total of 132 new deaths overall with a new death in PR for them to go to 2 and the first death in Guam. That brings the total of deaths of US citizens to 548.

American Somoa and Northern Marinaras all have no cases of virus infected people and deaths. They locked down any travel from China from the start.
