you gonna pitch in for the bag of money that they are gonna use to sweeten up the deal?

Alabama hasnt offered him they have one open

Auburn has 3 really two open but three as most expect Okaro to go pro they still haven't replaced any bigs with two leaving doubt hes a true option for them

UAB we could use anything right now.

Still need at least one shooter. With AK's being a shooter as a player I'm sure he knows what he's looking for.

Most recent real shooters I can recall are Robert Vaden and Jamarr Sanders...

I don't know anything about the Jalen Myers kid but I would question whether he really has an offer from Auburn. Congrats on the Andy Kennedy hire, if he still has the fire which I think he does, he'll do a good job for ya'll and put you in position for an NCAA tourney bid every year moving forward. Now that Ehsan is gone, I look forward to renewing the basketball rivalry with some more exciting UAB/Auburn roundball games. Best of luck Blazers!

I just posted the ESPN link. No clue how valid that information is.

Just like Bill Clark, I trust in Andy Kennedy to focus and hopefully deliver on the guys that he wants/needs to run his Off/Def.

Butler was a pretty good big man. He played for us the last 2 seasons but had a shortened year the 1st year due to injury.

To me, this will be the most important role player that we need to replace.

Nick norton and brown were great players. I was really meaning pure shooters only, Norton was a shooter and a floor general, and brown I wouldn’t consider a great shooter at all, he just did everything at a very good to above average level and was a good leader..

Sanders and Vaden are the last really talented pure shooters I can think of.. Marvette McDonald too, I know I’m probably missing some

As far as big men.. cam Moore RIP.. probably our last really good big man

Since Haase left we haven’t had very good high level D1 talent on the roster, outside of Bryant.. couple low talent with a bad coach and u have our current situation... I am looking forward to getting some real talent back on the team. Actually developing players would be a nice change also. I don’t think we’ve really developed players since Davis. Everybody under Haase and Ehsan basically stayed the same player while they were here, with a few small exceptions. We had some miraculous player developments under Davis.

RE: Hoops recruiting
Looked at the numbers for 3PTs, and Denzell Watts is the all-time percentage leader in a single season dating back to '92. He was 47/106 @ .443. (I think someone had a .500+ season before '92?)

But Jamarr is the last person to attempt 200+ in a season at a decent percentage (.386).

Robert Brown's senior year was good (61/187).

Nate Darling and Nick Norton are probably the last two shooters we had on the roster. Both had 150+ 3pt attempts at or around .400.

I think it's interesting that as basketball has become more obsessed with three-pointers, the majority of the 3PT attempts leaders are from the Anderson and Davis era.

Here's the list: Here's the list: http://cbbref.com/tiny/2LoUC

I would say Chris Cokely and Haha qualify as high major talent. We just underachieved with them.

They definitely were and we without a doubt underachieved big time with them.. Haha really did not develop much as a player. He was pretty much the same player when he came and when he left. Cokley really improved during his time here, one of the few exceptions to the lack of player development over the last 6-7 years.

I mean do we want a 7 three pointers a game and make the most out of that type like Nate Darling's time at UAB. Or a high volume shooter like what Nate Darling is at Delaware. Lol

Both types work at times, then both may fail. Then if youre just a shooter thats pretty one dimensional at times.

And yet his worst percentage was still better than chad Frazier’s.

Chad was the last great shooter we had though. He was a threat to score from anywhere, and was capable of dropping 30 on any given night. We haven’t had a player like that since he left in my opinion.
