I didn't even watch the ot. The writing was on the wall.

That 2 minutes was the most painful sports experience ever--and it never went totally away...just decreased in half lives like uranium.

If I could change two things in my life, we would win that game.

I didn’t watch the OT either for the same reason.

I had started to process it as though we were national champions. It was surreal. And then the 9 points lead evaporated. I couldn’t deal with the OT. I knew it was over.

Not sure if I can watch it today or not.

I still wasn't legal but I was in a bar that night.

Made sure to be one of my quietest haunts, didn't want it to be any number of bars that would be wall-to-wall.

I spent OT staring, I'm sure it didn't begin to process until I after I resumed mental awareness the next day.

I'm with you

It's not so bad when you watch it back. We didn't really choke so much as kansas made a bunch of plays down the stretch. We did miss a few free throws but it's not as bad as you think.

Later today The History Channel is replaying the live broadcast of the Hindenburg crash while attempting to land in Lakehurst New Jersey from 1937.

I don't remember that, what?

Billy packer told them during a TV timeout to check a 3 by Rose because his foot was on the line.

What? It is that bad. If they make one more FT, it doesn’t matter what play Kansas makes they can’t tie the game and it’s over.

Actually it was Jim Gray who was a sideline reporter. I’ve hated him ever since.

I posted yesterday the CBS radio broadcasf was on Westwood One yesterday while I was jogging. There were game interviews recorded from a couple years later from both Self and Calipari.

Calipari was asked about reaction to the scoring change by players - he said no issue as he was told during game by University Staff that call was correct.

And it was Nance

Now that I think about it you are right it was Nance but Gray is who came to him at a time out and told him to tell the officials to review.

Based on what I'm reading here, I'm glad I didn't watch. Sounds like we lost again.
