Rocket Video Gems Found on YouTube
There are literally thousands of videos on YouTube related to UT Rocket sports, including game highlights, interviews, player stories, etc. These come from numerous sources, so it isn't easy to find the most interesting/historic ones. So, I thought it might be worth starting a thread where people can post the most interesting ones they find so others can enjoy them too. Feel free to post what you find.

RE: Rocket Video Gems Found on YouTube
I'll start. I found this accidentally this week. It's a WBB game from 1999 against Ball State. The footage is old and low res, but for anyone who never got the chance to see Kim Knuth play, this is worth a watch. It was just an average game for her, dropping in 34.

And speaking of all-time Rocket greats, I found this full-game replay of Chuck Ealey and the 1971 Rockets playing East Carolina. 45-0 final. No sound and shortened to eliminate time between plays. A chance to see Chuck and some of the other greats play again.

Well I for one have been enjoying this scavenger hunt though youtube. The Ball State Library archives has a huge amount of interesting stuff. In addition to the women's game I linked above, they have several men's games against UT from the 1970s, Black and white without sound and cut down to remove dead time, but the quality isn't that bad. Interesting opportunity to see some old Rocket greats like Miller, Joplin, Lehman, Larson, Cole and others. This is the oldest one I found so far is from 1974 and is a game played at the UT Field House.

They sure played slower in those days.

I seem to recall before posted vids from the BYU and the Arkansas games but I cannot find now.

The BYU game @ Provo is on the BYUtv website for free:

I think the Arkansas game can be found on youtube still, but those get taken down sometimes because they usually aren't authorized. I'll see if I can find it.

And here's another gem, that I don't remember ever seeing before - an hour+ long interview with Bobby Nichols where he reminisces about his life and career.

Musical Interlude: I'd ask if anyone remembered going but...probably not. Does anyone think they might have gone?

Surprisingly easier to find UT concerts online than sports events.

I found a good vid highlight film of the game at OSU, but that might be too frustrating for the fans.

Underneath the house I got a box with vcr tapes of some classic 90s games, win at dayton, osu, the cincy win (minus the final 40 seconds-arrghh, a win at WMU when craig thames had 3 dunks including a reverse mini tomahawk, and a couple of 90s MAc ncaa upsets. probably will never get it transferred to a digital format to upload it or whatever, but maybe ...

Here's an interesting documentary on the history of the Field House.

And if documentaries are not your style, how about revisiting one of the many beat-downs of that school down south. This version featuring Phillip Ely, Kareem Hunt and Cheatham Norrils among many others.
