I met Henry the directory one day at Comeback Coffee Owned by my son. He goes there everyday he is in town working on the series. He has spent untold hours with the Tiger players and mentions a few in the article. Great kids. Normal teenagers existing in an abnormal world under the spotlight.

What Henry says about them is part of why I think nobody leaves.

Try out Comeback Coffee on S Main same block as Westy’s. Great kids renovated an historic building in the Pinch.

RE: Caulkins article: The Harderway Director Talks about the Tiger players
Really interesting article. Not much in the way of “writing” as it is simply quotes from the director. Great insight into many players and seems like most will be back. Interesting that there was only 1 sentence about DJ and one about Wiseman while the other players had 4-7.

I liked this quote: On Memphis, the place: “There’s a lot of pride in Memphis. It doesn’t feel like any other place. The passion and pride in Memphis, I think you feel it across the community. It has maybe a different meaning for different people, but any Memphian is proud of being a Memphian. I’ve found my spots. I go to Comeback Coffee. I walk to Maciel’s. But I’ve tried to get Maciel to team up with my friends at Comeback Coffee and make breakfast tacos. That’s the biggest thing. In Austin, what people eat for breakfast is tacos, and it’s a weird experience where that doesn’t happen.”

That would be a great mashup. I love sausage, egg, and potato burritos for breakfast. Better than breakfast sandwiches.

Don't copy Austin, if for no other reason than the pretentious portion of the population wants you to. They are quite full of themselves. And the Californians and New Yorkers, etc., who take on the attitude, and even magnify it to massage their miserable little egos, are even worse to put up with.

All kidding aside, I would eat tacos WHENever I can.
