Highlight video (granted it’s from his senior year in HS)
https://youtu.be/tfmNqg8P7Uo

He seems pretty athletic and would absolutely be that wing athleticism we’re looking for. Not sure if he can score on all 3 levels or not. He’s played at both Syracuse and Vandy.

He fits the Syracuse mold perfectly. Long and athletic. Not sure why it hasn’t worked out for him and his numbers aren’t huge for any year especially given what seems to be a very good skill set on his Sr year highlights. Love how strong he attacks the rim on his finishes.

I still think we also need a PG and big too so I wonder if we’re gonna end up with 3rd scholly somehow if one of our current guys transfers out.

That's a huge blow for them. He looked good in the game against Hofstra.

RE: CAA MBB Transfers - 2020
Nobody ever posts this part, but a lot of these grad transfers get a 2 year or 3 year (law) paid for a year. This is a very smart financial move for a lot of players. Very simply, if your undergrad school redshirts you or you can graduate in three years, your MBA or (fill in the blank) degree is paid for 50 or 33 percent. That's a great deal for the more academically oriented kids.

GRAD 6’8 Tomas Murphy is transferring from Northeastern. He started four games and then missed a lot of time with injury. I would think he could get an injury redshirt for this past year and have two years of eligibility.

CAA MBB Transfers - 2020
I wonder what's triggering the mass exodus at NE? Both bigs played and would be major contributors. Both are more talented scorers than the Doherty kid that transfered in. Is it simply both guys expect to play at a major program for 1 year a la Justin Pierce?

Not sure he ever showed as much as his brother did. I'd take him in a heart beat if he has two years left.

RE: CAA MBB Transfers - 2020
Lots of action in the Transfer Portal today. 5 PLAYERS from Wichita State gave notice of transferring (what is Greg Marshall doing wrong??).

Also, Landers Nolley entered today from Tech. Said he wanted to go somewhere he can play the wing. Heck, I think we can arrange that...(he is going to visit Georgetown soon.)

Maybe they wanted to play somewhere warm or in front of people or something.

RE: CAA MBB Transfers - 2020
Coach Howland and Bryan Griffin (6’8 230 lbs) are now following each other. Griffin is a RS JR transferring from DII Mercy College where he put up big stats:

“ Griffin takes home First Team honors for the second straight season after an impressive season in which he averaged a team-high 19.6 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game on a team-high 51.8 percent shooting. He had 12 games with 20 or more points and had 17 games with 10 or more rebounds, including four games with 20 or more rebounds.”

https://mercyathletics.com/news/2020/3/6...l-ecc.aspx

Lots of DI coaches following him (I’ll list them when I get a chance).

Highlights (from 2018-19):

RE: CAA MBB Transfers - 2020
I know it’s early in a recruiting process that may drag on for a while depending on when recruits can visit campus again, but the one offer out for 2020 is a PG and the two potential transfer targets are grad bigs (both 6’8 230lbs) so that could be the strategy: a 2020 PG and a grad big. This would leave 3 scholarship spots for 2021; the offers so far break down into three categories: two PGs, two bigs, and four 6’7-6’8 wing forwards.

Like his game a good bit and think he would fit our team well and have success in the CAA.

Hartford and App State have joined the party as well as another GW assistant (HC Christian and an assistant already follow - by far the most aggressive staff).
