Season mercifully comes to an end. Now let's hire a coach.

Sad finish. I thought we’d get this one. A win here would have made it extremely hard for Bass not to hire him.

Pretty sure his mind is made up on hiring Burke one way or the other. I can't imagine today would have had much of an impact.

Spiker seems like a class act. He had a fairly lengthy conversation with Burke in the handshake line.

Spiker is a good dude, no doubt. He is good for the league. He runs a clean program. But I think next season will be do or die for him as he just hasnt been getting it done to this point.

Burke mentioned in the postgame that Shy will have surgery on his wrist soon. He has been playing with an injury where he couldn’t shoot the ball.

If it were something that happened game after game it would make sense. It hasn't. Any comparisons to McGrath when you talk about coaches who actually win games is foolish.

It happened clearly two games in a row that’s a fact. But they fought back, that’s the difference between A CB team and a Burke team they didn’t quit

I agree with you. His record has been shaky thus far. Though as I’m sure you know he has a solid group coming back which includes IMO a 1st team player in Wynter and potentially Butler.

Exactly why next year better see a huge leap. Lots of seniors leaving. The door is wide open with him returning potentially his entire team. Excuses are gone (as it sits right now). Side note, it was criminal that Butler did not make 2nd team.

I was really impressed with him the last two games against UNCW. Heck, he ended the year averaging a double double.

Butler is tough. His dad, Vernon, was the same type of inside player while at navy. The year he played alongside David Robinson was probably navy's best team.

RE: 1st round in DC versus drexel
All year long he was top 5 in double doubles in the NCAA. He was never going to make 1st team being block by Knight, but not making 2nd team was completely uncalled for, but it is what it is. Next year should be a huge year for the Dragons, if not, I think Spiker's time is up
