We're playing the #2 team in the country and no threads 2/3rds thru the game?

We're down 3-1 after 5 1/2 innings. DeLeon hanging in there. We've had our chances but have left 6 guys on base.

BTW - Comeaux back in the line-up.

Rice Baseball just isn't what it used to be. I'm tired of arguing over why. I want to figure out how to get it back there.

I think it will be a very short season.

I hope Rice does figure out how to get back to being a CWS regular because that would make for an amazing annual home-and-home series between Tech and Rice.

Unless they had the second coming of Nolan Ryan on the hill, that is pretty sad.

Just a quick look at our individual batting averages. We have SEVEN players that have started for us in 8 games (I think) or more that are at or below the Mendoza line.

That’s tough. And hard to explain. Even more difficult to correct, I imagine

Our approach at the plate has been horrific. We take first pitch fastballs down broadway, and called strike threes down broadway, while swinging at pitches out of the strikezone. I've never in my life seen so many strikeouts looking, and on the vast majority of those the pitches are fastballs right down the middle. Not sure what Bragga is teaching them, but it's anything but aggressive.
