Other than the stretch where we managed to tie it briefly, it looked like the Bobcats wanted this one a lot more than we did today. We need some fire for these last two contests or we're going to end up not even hosting our first game in the tourney.

4 ASU players foul out with a player with 4 fouls

Obviously we have to win out, but maybe the Louisiana schools can do what ARST could not.

I would love to have the title hunt come down to the last game of the season.

I like the odds of GAST taking the last game at home against LR.

Personally I just want our guys to be top 2 but I understand the value of the auto-NIT bid as a regular season champ.

Not sure what we were doing last 4 minutes with both their bigs fouled out and making no attempt to attack the basket

Well I’ll take it too but right now I just want to clinch top 2. When we do, then I want to be regular season champs.

On the topic of the NIT auto-bid. Anyone know how it works in the event of a co-championship? Do you have to own the tie-breaker for the 1-seed in your conference to earn it?

Yes. A number of years ago we tied WKU for first place, but they had the tie-breaker. We did not get an NIT bid. Didn't seem quite fair to me, but the NIT apparently takes who the league considers their #1 seed.

Here's the standings graph. Little Rock has claimed top two and a ticket to NOLA. Everything else is up for grabs, except for maybe ULM and Troy being out.

Not that we would go anywhere in the tourney, but ULM is playing better. Is there still a chance to make the tourney?

This with tie-breakers? I've got A-State the 8 seed and Coastal the 9 right now by virtue of A-State being 2-1 vs. GSU/USA/GS and CCU being 2-4 vs. that threesome. They're tied H2H and neither has a win over LR or TXST.

Yes, nobody is eliminated yet. ULM is in 11th right now and 1.5 games out of 10th with 2.5 to go (2 for ULM, 3 for UL).

You're right. I wasn't sure, but the Sun Belt website has against the whole group.

You didn't know you were the home team?

03-lmfao .. speaking only for myself, I don't care if they were the Home team, Road team, Neutral site team . . . We Bobcats are just glad they got it done.

Well anyway, as someone was saying before the GA teams arrived, it would be nice if the Texas teams were to defend their home courts this time. Way to go, Bobcats and Mavericks! so far.....and good luck on Saturday.

. . . and to you Mav, and to you . . .

Wow. We certainly did not hold up our end on Saturday. GaSo beat us in every way possible. I'm glad at least, the Bobcats made it a Texas sweep of GaSt! I'm looking forward to our Friday match-up in Arlington. I wish we had a home court advantage.

AState pretty much has to win at UL to get the 8 seed. There's a scenario in which we could host with a loss, but that involves beating Georgia Southern, Coastal losing to App and UL Losing to UALR and Coastal.

You have home court advantage there against us. I knew we had lost at least 2 straight there (cause I was at both games) but was pretty astounded at how far I had to go back to find our last win in Arlington. 2010...

UTA has won 9 straight in the series in Arlington.

I'm really nervous going into this game. I bet we're a slight underdog in the 1-3 point range.

We’ve lost 5 straight to Mav, and are 2-8 in our last 10.

I’d like to think we’re “due,” but am not overly confident going into this one, particularly at their place.

Hoping the guys embrace the role of Road Warriors.

POP YOUR POPCORN MAV, WE’RE COMIN’ FOR YA!
