Curry, AJ and Reece, had solid games. If Kalu could of stayed out foul trouble, think we could of done some real damage.

So if win and Rice beats Charlotte, we are Pod 1, no?

Edit: Yes. Ted just confirmed.

Certainly possible with Charlotte in the second game of the Texaa road trip.

I think Rice has a better shot at Charlotte than we do at UNT, but we'll see.

Kalu's line extrapolated over a 40 minute game.

65.4 points and 54.5 fouls per game.

The CUSA rivalries are definitely starting to develop. I can think of at least four teams whose arse I would love to kick in the Ted for our final two home games.

We're gonna be around a 9 point dog. Charlotte and Rice will be fairly close to pick em.

Good catch ODUBB35.

Lol - he must be a scoring machine based upon those stats. Then again, stats can often be very misleading if that's all someone goes by. It is half right anyway. He does foul too much.

Great job Monarchs! As BT would say, let’s keep winning and total them up at the end and see where we are.

I’m proud of these guys. Down 2 starters and losing possibly the best six man and possibly our best all around player, we have turned this season around . Very proud. And dare I say it? A good coaching job to get these much better results the last month.

Man Kalu has to get better. He is a dominant force offensively when he is able to play a lot of minutes. This has to be a point of emphasis for him. He really is a special offensive talent.

Wade was clearly the best player this year. Very surprising but hasn't even been close.

The team has played much better since Oliver was added and the focus was not on Green creating everything offensively. He's clearly not ready to be a go to scorer.

We have to find another win or 2 on the road and hold serve at home. We can't play we did against RICE vs UNT. The player to me that has made this team better has been Joe Reece. Malik is also providing some stability at PG with his scoring. If Kalu can get it going and Oliver can find some consistency we could be a dangerous team.

Thats why posters shouldn't give up on players after their freshman season.

Agreed but we are gonna need X to shoot better than he has been on the road too. 3 points on 8 shots is not good enough from him.

And a ton of credit goes to Reece. He could have transferred last year like so many others in college basketball (and it would not have been JJ's fault). Instead, if you've heard him talk about it, he said, "Hey, I'm not doing the things I need to do to be successful. I'm going to change that." He did, and things changed. Now, it's clear he has a bright future and is a big piece of who this team can be this year and moving forward.

I agree...but you can can see that Reece put in the off season work to get better. I am not sure we need X to me a main contributor. He just needs to do enough offensively to keep the defense honest.

I can name a player that a "poster" said wasn't any good after his Freshman season at ODU who is currently averaging 31.6 minutes, 12.5 points, and shooting a 3PT % of 40.7%.
