Will it be available later on YouTube or radio clips for us out of towners?

Yep, that was his memorable one liner.

THAT is a head coach. THAT is the job of a head coach. THAT is our head coach and i'm proud to say it. X's and O's matter, but LEADERSHIP and MOTIVATION matters more. THAT is next level and how you create championship level teams. If you wonder why the players are all-in for him to be the head coach, now you know.

Put me in coach!

For the first time in a few years, I make a point not to miss the Monday Radio Show with Mike V and Coach Burke.

His speech was perfect, but I'd like to recognize the 1998 NIT more. 2000 put us on the map, but 1998 was foundational.

Keep in mind this speech comes from when the 2000 team was recognized at halftime of the Northeastern game. He brought the players from that team into the locker room to talk to the players during the game, I think just before the 2nd half began.

I'm just glad he understands and talks about our history so much. It's easy to forget about the program's success when we have a bad season. And it's VERY easy for the players not to think about it being about more than just themselves. They'll be part of the legacy of UNCW Hoops long after they graduate.

I was confused, because I thought I heard him say "beat William and Mary". Not intended to be critical in any way, because I love the message.

I heard that at the end too and wonder if they pieced some fresh soundbites in with the video, especially since you don't see the video of him saying that. That sound clip comes as they're showing basketball footage.

It was 100 percent edited in. Great video though
