too many people look at wins and losses as better or worse..when its often just about match-up....i dont think wichitas guards are good against tall guards..evidenced by the fact that half their shots werent even kinda close..it wasnt an off-night..it was a can't shoot over 6'5 point guards kinda night..same thing happened last game....houston had a similar weakness when we had galen/corey/rob lineup
similar to the current houston teams having a weakness vs zone teams
do enough to not need a houston win. and when you're in the tourney hope you draw a team with smaller/average sized guards
also lol at wichita fans on social media about it being "time for marshall to go", and being overpaid

they recruited him. smu was seen as a favorite for a while too (he talked in interviews about it being home and his families legacy w SMU, in older interviews)...he supposedly changed his mind after the visit to houston
Total bull$h!t. Jank didn’t want him.
Fire Jank.

Recruiting is picking up with TCU and Texas Tech monitoring the in-state prospect while Houston, SMU and UTEP all had coaches there for his final game.
Yup. And then Jank pissed on his assistants who did their jobs well. But we can argue this for the next 37 pages Coach P style if that makes you happy. It wont make you right. He was never going to SMU.

it was obvious he was going to Houston for about a month before he committed...but you are saying smu didnt want him...i cant find the specific interview it was from some small local dallas site talking about how much smu wanted him, his family legacy there with his family and being home...(litely mentions houston why i read it)
you are saying im wrong when he himself said smu recruited him the hardest backed by the main recruiting analyst from smu .. but lets not debate this and just say we see things differently

Yeah---good league---but too much beating one another up. I thought we'd have 3-5. Be lucky to get 2 in at this point.

I’m so mad I couldn’t watch the game. I’m currently in Canada and the VPNs I tried wouldn’t work, and I’m not paying a ton of money to get a really good one. Space game jerseys are really sick though, Nike always does a phenomenal job with them in football and basketball.

AAC Bubble Watch"
- Houston- Comfortably in...can afford up to 3 losses in the regular season (4th in tourney) and probably still make it in (rest of the games are q1/q2-ish)
-Wichita- Barely in.. can take up to 2 losses depending on the losses.. next 3 are absolute must wins (@ucf, tulane, usf)..then go 3 for 5 with the rest (preferably winning the 2 home games)..and theyll be in
-Memphis- 4 to 5 spots out--
-Cincy- 10 to 15 spots out--
Memphis and Cincy play each other next--the loser is in very bad shape..loser likely in the NIT (would almost certainly need houston upset otherwise) .... the winner just has to win out their non houston games (which is very doable, likely favored to do so..biggest hurdle would be Wichita at home for both)
- SMU -- 20-ish spots out-- will need to win out (or 1 loss and deep tourney run)-- 20 spots out and only 1 q1 game left...
- Tulsa -- 40-ish spots out-- they wont get in on computers...but can get in on eye test/guady record like they did years ago...must win out..@temple is the only forgivable loss (need @wichita/@houston for eye test, the rest are resume killers), and that loss to temple would require getting to tourney finals...
everyone else is prepping for the tourney
the way the schedule is set up-
-only 1 of tulsa, smu and wichita is likely to make the tourney...there are round robin scenarios including memphis where none of the 4 get in...
Best conference scenario- 5 bids, 4 atlarges 1 auto bid....Assuming the cincy/memphis loser beats houston, 4 at large is possible ..
worst case: 1 bid is very much on the table ..these scenarios are acting like temple, uconn, usf, ucf are going to just accept defeat and lay down...all 4 have upset have upset at-least 1 bubble team just this week

No way Cincinnati is 10 to 15 spots out. Probably out if it ended today but likely first 4 out.

according to espn bracketology they had you in "next four out", before the game..but gave you the auto bid as a 12 seed .. (only top 11 they use for atlarges)
cbs had you first four out before the loss today. you weren't in by any major network bracketologist before the game...
saying 10-15 is putting you like 3/4 spots lower than what you came into the uconn game with

I do this every year (nailed everyone last year and multiple other seasons). I haven't done a detailed look yet but lunardi who you just cited (and isn't the gospel mind you) had uc as the second team out after the loss today.

i think his arrows are indications that they will drop, not where theyll be moved to.....he had you lower than the last 4 in (at dayton)..in his unupdated brackeology, that pick doesnt make sense
(edit i just checked)-- the picture is the same as his un-updated one on espn.com.. with a few alterations for the teams he has getting auto-bids..the picture is saying you are going to drop, not where youll end up

Bubble teams don't pay a big penalty for q1 road losses. It's not that complicated. Resume didn't change much.

we arent projecting for tomorrow but march...uconn is 73 now..2 spots above the cut off line... with 3 diffuclut games coming up (@smu, memphis @ temple)...uconn could be a q2 loss as early as 3 days from now ..
its clearly more complicated than you are making it seem...
