Huskies/Golden Flashes
Kent State opens as the 2 point favorite. This comes after NIU knocked them off just over a couple weeks ago at Kent. Kent rebounded with a couple solid wins on the road at Buffalo and at Toledo followed by a 1 point home victory over Akron. Then a surprise loss at home this past Tuesday against Ball State. The flashes will certainly want to get back on a winning streak and of course NIU is hoping to extend their streak to 6! Can't wait, should be a good one, hope our guys show up and get the W. Go Huskies!

RE: Huskies/Golden Flashes
And now the rest of the story:
6pm central on cbssn

Last game was 1/21 with Huskies winning 76-69. Shooting stats from that game:
NIU fg% 44.8 3pt% 46.7 ft% 81
KSU fg% 41 3pt% 33.3 ft% 60
German 17, James 16 and Beane 14 led Huskie scoring.
Pippen 18, Williamson 14, Williams 13 led the Golden Flashes.

Huskies had 12 turnovers, which they need to correct.

NCAA NET (then/now) Kent (103/114) Huskies (203/167)
KenPom Kent (106/114) Huskies (194/179)

MAC Stats:
fg% Offense Kent 1st NIU 4th
fg% Defense Kent 12th NIU 1st
3pt% Offense Kent 4th NIU 6th
3pt% Defense Kent 7th NIU 1st

Play good defense, shoot the threes and cut down on turnovers.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pantone, 12 turnovers is considered good especially on the road.

You are right that is just about our average. However, we are last (not by much) in the MAC for turnover margin. We are 11th in assist to turnover ratio. Would be nice to improve on those down the stretch.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Completely agree on the bad call, on another note that took forever to get some help. I'm surprised there isn't a paramedic or 2 on site for every game. I know it's not football but still, you never know.

He was in position and definitely NOT moving forward into Mateen and the end result shows it was Mateen bowling him over.
We all want NIU to win, but let's not get blinded and always blame officials. Show that video to 10 different referees and maybe one would call that block.

We are giving up an absolute ton of offensive rebounds. Have to get control of the boards.

If Kent just shoots average from the field, they will surge well ahead in 2nd half. When Kent is interested, they are imo, the best team in the conference

Getting killed on the offensive boards but other than that and the 3 point shooter that hit before the half, NIU has the better team. Gotta finish.
