The Trump administration official said that in response to the state's sanctuary and Green Light laws, all New York residents “can’t enroll or re-enroll” in the Trusted Traveler Programs

The Department of Homeland Security has suspended Global Entry and several other trusted traveler programs for all residents of New York.

Chad Wolf, the Acting Homeland Security Chief, was on Fox News Wednesday night when he told host Tucker Carlson that all residents of the Empire State will be unable to enroll in the programs that make flying both domestically and internationally smoother.

Wolf said that New Yorkers “can’t enroll or re-enroll” in the Trusted Traveler Programs — which includes Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, Nexus and more — because the department “no longer [has] access to make sure that they meet those program requirements.”

In a letter to New York State officials, Wolf noted that the law prohibited state DMVs from sharing criminal records with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The law “compromises CBP’s ability to confirm whether an individual applying for Trusted Travelers Program membership meets program eligibility requirements” and hinders ICE and their agents from fulfilling their mission.

Global Entry is for passport control bypass. Like when you land at JFK and try and figure out what country you are in. You can then bypass the mass lines and go straight through customs.

Looks like you read it correctly. It's multiple programs.

So illegal immigrants can run free and cause havoc.... that will inconvenience some, but mostly in the cities: start F-ing with travelers sitting in long check in lines however and THAT will piss people off...

Trump isn't hurting anyone. New York did this to themselves by making it to where DHS can't do the proper security checks because they cannot access the NY DMV records. DHS had no choice in the matter.

USA today said Precheck for Domestic not impacted, seems the 3 other international programs are impacted.
