Sure looks like it. Nothing beats floor time to get more and more comfortable playing together. I think we'll see more of the same the rest of the season.

I do expect him to cool off a little (last 3 games he is shooting 9-15 from 3, 60%) but even if he does, him being out there will open up the floor...Teams still testing him right now.

9 for the tourney ( although DJ would likely not be in shape to get major minutes)

Lance has turned me into a believer, almost overnight - but as you mentioned, he's now continuously bringing it ... I admitted it in the Lance thread, I'm sure glad I was wrong about him.

His defensive style from 4 games ago is completely different than it is now. Dude would swipe down on every shot attempt and would probably pick up 40 fouls a game if you let him. All the sudden that stopped and he is now Michael Jordan

The problem with using advanced statistics as metrics is that unless you explain how they are calculated, they are totally useless.

Core 4 has been ever-changing with this team.

A-lo and Tyler have spent their time there.
Boogie and Lance have been very far from at at times.
Malcolm has been close to it.

It will probably change again soon. I'd love to see Damian take a big step forward offensively.

I still hope Baugh figures it out. I know he will sooner or later, and he's got time, but I'd love to see a little something by tournament time. He started out so promising. Dandridge continues to improve.

Lance and Boogie has really changed the outlook of this team. Hopefully we get DJ back before the conf tourney and then you got a starting 5 thats worth glowing over.

They aren't complicated...

But Boxscore based "Advanced Metrics" are flawed in so many ways. We don't even have to see how they are calculated to see they are flawed.

Any Advanced Metric that says we are a better offensive team with Achiwa on the bench and that Lomax contributes more positive things to victories than Precious is just so flawed it should never be quoted.

Any Metric that says we will be a better team if we put Precious on the bench and start Lance and Dandridge is just insane.

I'll Take Effective Shooting% Simple Stat

More difficult stats to produce that are useful are Rebounding% of total available defensive rebounds while on the floor, Offensive Rebounding% of total available offensive rebounds while on the floor

and True Plus Minus can be useful depending on how the coach substitutes.

Agreed if we get good DJ back before the conference tourney and we will have 5 guys on offense out there you have to play honestly or get punished. Right now teams still can have a designated helper without fear of consequences.

Yep. Maybe he’ll cool off, but he’s been taking good shots (many of them have been wide open). Hopefully Lance keeps getting open looks, but if he doesn’t that means the opposing big isn’t down low protecting the rim/rebounding.

Malcolm looked very good against Temple. We may have ourselves an inside player who doesn't care about shooting 3's.

Would be a nice to have a big who other teams feel they need to double. I don't think they feel that way against Precious because he is not a post player.
