NIU
Projected Conference Wins: 9.5
Projected Seed: #7
First Round MAC Tourney Game: #7 NIU/#10 Miami-OH in Dekalb
Chance for NIU to win MAC tourney: 1.3%

Rest of year mock lines:

@ Toledo, Toledo by 9 (I might be overshooting this one, probably will come in as Rockets by 5 to 7 pts)
Kent State, Kent by 5
@ Ball State, Ball State by 9
@ Miami-OH, Miami-OH by 2
Central Michigan, NIU by 1.5
@ Eastern Michigan, EMU by 3
@ Western Michigan, WMU by 1
Toledo, Toledo by 1.5
Ball State, Ball State by 1.5

Projected wins in conference

1. BGSU 12.9
2. Kent State 12.4
3. Akron 12.0
4. Ball State 11.1
5. CMU 10.4
6. Buffalo 9.7
7. NIU 9.5
8. Toledo 8.7
9. Ohio 5.7
10. Miami-OH 5.4
11. WMU 5.2
12. EMU 4.8

Chances of NIU finishing with the following number of conference wins:

6: 1.2%
7: 7.1%
8: 17.7%
9: 25.9%
10: 24.4%
11. 15.3%
12. 6.4%
13. 1.7%
14: 0.3%
15: 0.02%

Bingo—MD——I’m seeing Toledo -6 online right now. That would fall right in your 5 to 7 pick :)

Yeah my little analysis is overvaluing the Rockets a bit. I still have Toledo with a high offensive efficiency which has them somewhere around 120 where most of the pros have them back at 150 to 160. Toledo seems so tough to handicap, they can play like the best team in the MAC and destroy Akron @ Akron, or lose to an EMU. Wouldnt surprise me if NIU pulled the upset or if Toledo won by 15
